Our yard is in serious need of mowing and trimming and I planned to do that as soon as it was light enough this morning. A couple of minutes after 5 a.m., I was sitting here reading the news and weather on the Internet when I heard a slightly familiar and rather loud sound; just couldn't believe it could be what it sounded like until I went and opened the door to look out, and sure enough we were getting a downpour. It didn't last long, but put about 0.15" of rain in my gauge.

Jim, all that work is looking great! Will pay nice dividends around dinner time in the near future!!

The tomatoes sure look different than they did as sad little plants with all those multi-colored buckets over them, don't they? My okra is still very small, but it is getting 'up on turbo' and accelerating nicely. Cucumbers and Israel melons are laying claim to the whole end of my garden where the sand is deep and there's lots of deep moisture.:)

Dennis,
We notice humidity more as we age and it is one of those things that we try to forget.
hugs, Brandi

 Easier if you stay and live around it, Like you, Lou, Scott and a few others. For me, Its like getting slapped in the face by a horses tail when I get down there and get out of the truck:laughing:

You got that right, I try to wear long sleeves when using the Arc welder and it can get miserable, especially if your out in the sun. I like using the wire welder, I can usually skip the LS, but then I have to have little air movement using gas.

Jim did enjoy the pictures,, nice looking garden,, I do believe those onions are just about ready,,:licking: I do like onions on anything and everything..

Dennis it got up to 100 F here Thursday with 89% humidity,, I was out in it for about hour,, the only thing dry on me was the outside of my boots..

I try that dancing in the pasture for rain,, the only thing I got was a sunburn,, maybe I was using the wrong steps.. it is heel and toe and slide,, right?..:cool2: Lou

Jim, Yes they do look different:laughing: I think the Okra is the only thing that looks Happy in this heat.

Bird, I had "moments" thinking about mowing this morning too, that was before my 4th cup of coffee, but I haven't so far had the excuse "it's raining", to avoid it. Maybe if I wait a little:laughing:

I think FG19 is either on vacation, or still pushing the mower? Doesn't look like She, Jim or I, have been under the wet stuff in this front yet.. I may have to hand was the Camero, that might do it.

Lou, that temp combined with the humidity, well wouldn't have been a "purdy" sight if I was down there:laughing: The cuss'n would have got me put in the pokey! I dont even see the need to shower down there, just lather up and walk outside:shocked: The only way to survive down there is with a double holster, with something "cool" on each side.

Yes, bindian, we try to forget. I know turning 29 this last time was hard! I fear that I might one day actually hit 30!
