No vacation here! But yes, I was pushing a lawn mower around. Took longer this morning, than last Saturday night. It is usually a 45 minute job, that I managed to do in 30 minutes last week. With the humidity, and no breeze AT ALL, it took me an hour. The first 3/4 of it, went about normal pace, but the last 1/4 of pushing that thing in the sauna, was tough.

My okra is getting happy too! I did water the garden after mowing, this morning. I know that I can't count on the rain. Soiunds like Bird is being the rain hog, this week!

You have the basic steps, but there is more to it than that. You forgot to add the hip action and the twirl! :laughing:

Hey there you are, where ya been, WORK"N!!:laughing: Dont say you mowed your big pastures with the push mower just "because"

If I were to get out and try to mow a big pasture with the push mower, in this heat, I'd want to be committed. Be better to be in a padded room with A/C! If the weather is nice, I wouldn't be against trying it, just gets done quicker with the brush hog, and more fun too!

On my way home from work yesterday, I stopped at the Farmer's Market, in Weatherford, and bought half a bushel of peaches! They need to finish ripening another day or so, but they were picked yesterday morning! I'll enjoy eating on those for a couple of days, and probably get a quart of them in the freezer too! At least I know there should be some peaches for the Peach Festival, which is July 13. I'll make sure I don't need to leave the property that day. They have the darn biking event/race, and it can take an hour to get someplace that normally would take 10 minutes. Between the construction going on, and the extra events, I don't think anyone will be able to get anywhere necessary. I'll just throw some steaks on the grill and have grilled and fresh peaches to go with them, that day! :licking:

Peaches are good in almost any kind of fashion. I cant recall having them in a way I didn't like.

Your right, the congestion at hwy 51/ I-20 is horrible and has been for some time. It's bad enough going N or S through town. (Weatherford)

Yes, bindian, we try to forget. I know turning 29 this last time was hard! I fear that I might one day actually hit 30!

Were you related to Jack Benny? But he made it all the way to 39.

The darn bike riders have some of their paths in my area. They want to ride 3-6 abreast and talk while biking. They do NOT move over or get out of the way otherwise. And one can't afford to hit them, to make a point. Oh well, the county should be out mowing along the roads this way, the week before. They may not care about us the rest of the time, but they want us to look good come Peach Fesival time! :irked:
