Yep, the North air felt goood, seemed to cut the humidity in half!!! We may see all 4 seasons during this June, just say'n, may have "steamed" tomatoes in our gardens in 2 weeks:laughing:

Ha Ha, missed tackle, we have winds from the north and a cool 73˚ this morning. Cool front came just in time, the AC broke yesterday evening. Windows are open and the temp is dropping from our inside high of 79˚.

Nice to have windows open here too! And looks like they have revised temps to be pretty pleasant, this week. I sure could use a rain, but the lower temps should help keep things from baking, as soon!

59 F overnight here at 6 AM this morning. Yes! I'll take this for June 2nd any year. We even have dew on the grass and I'm delaying picking beans until some of the dew dries off my bean plants. My mother used to tell me that handling wet bean plants makes them "rust." I don't want rusty beans, so I'll give it a wait.

Don: I've had my air conditioner shut down twice in recent years and both times it was the start/run capacitor. If the compressor trys to come on, but just sits and hums, there's a good chance that is all that's wrong. Hope so. It's a cheap fix. My local guy drove 20 miles and replaced the capacitor for less than $100 total. Can't beat that for a service call.

Kyle, I believe one of the firefighters was a women. It seems that fires in structures like this are an equal opportunity killer. As in the military, the front lines of firemen and police all have women these days. I believe the rookie woman firefighter was Anne Sullivan. Any death is a tragedy, though. It matters not what age or ***. They all put their lives on the line daily in the line of duty.

LOVE the weather, like summertime in the Rockies:laughing: 61* with a NW breeze.

My start capacitor went out last summer, not counting the drive to town, it was a $15 fix. My cousin (in the AC biz for 30 years, said they pay around $1.50-$300 for start capacitors) Some guys will charge up to $500 to replace one:shocked:. One of the "services" you have to be carefull with.

So I was going to shred yesterday but I ended up putting a new starter on my inlaws car. Maybe after church today I can get some more seat time. I did get the pond trimmed with my 9' sickle bar cutter yesterday. The sickle bar is the best thing since sliced bread for doing this. It does need some maintenance tho'.
