Have an F20D with aTemp light that comes on the moment I turn on the key and remains on till I shut it off. Wanted to try to figure out what the problem is but I'm at a loss as how to access the instrument cluster. there are two screws on top that I thought would be the key, but no luck initally and I didn't want to force again and cause more problems. Can post more picutres of the dash area if necessary. Also what might the problem be as far as the light is concerned?

Maybe I missed something but why do you want to take the dashboard out? The light seems to be working so it's not from there?

Anyway, to me, that symbol indicates coolant level and so does the text under the symbol after translating it. Have you checked the level of the coolant at both the radiator and expansion tank?

The coolant temperature gauge is on the right side, under the fuel level.

The TEMP light translated says radiator running hot.

Do not take the dash apart.
Instead, check to see if the tractor has enough coolant, the radiator is not plugged up, and the water pump is working.

The radiator is full, expansion tank empty; and water moves normally through radiator when observed with the cap off while running. Several reasons I wanted to look inside the dash; the light use to come on when I turned the key and go out after the engine started, also have a second wire I'd like to trace from their start in the dash. Finally the throttle lever has gotten very stiff from our PNW winter rains and I'd like to see what might need to be lubercated there.

The water level sensor is installed on the expansion tank. It's empty, the light will turn on, so it's working as intended.

When I translated it to Portuguese, it translated to "radiator water amount" and the arrow does indicate level.

Thank you I hadn't noticed any sensor on the expansion tank; I will look for one and a water level mark.

@prcllo

Just FYI, it is a good idea to have some coolant in the expansion tank; it helps keep air out of the system.

All the best, Peter
