He said it was a cheap Ebay item..
Oh in this instance yes I am cheap. The plow is a resurrected 7' rear blade I got for cheap as it was. However, I discussed with the dealer on plow options but with the hydraulics and what they had available it was going to be many thousands of dollars more to get one set up. We were already in to many thousands of dollars (about $11k) in front end equipment and hydraulics so I went the other way and adapted what we already had.Sounds like the adapter might be some kind of low-end, off shore adapter, kinda slapped together?
Not accusing you of being cheap.

Interesting note - the SSQA to 3pt adapter from Ebay was in the lower $200's if I recall. I was browsing Everything Attachments and they want over $1000 for one. Crazy.
I bought the same exact adapter from Ebay and have had no problems connecting it. I'm going to measure mine and compare,I was swapping front end equipment this afternoon so I did some measuring. Aside from being still pretty cold (temp in the teens) we had a nice day here.
First up is my fork set.

This measures about 45-1/8". This is a Land Pride fork set.
Next is the bucket.
View attachment 4995658
This measures about 45-1/16".
Next is the grapple. This one I had trouble getting the tape to cooperare for the measurement.
View attachment 4995660
This comes out to about 45-1/2".
Next is the loader arms on the tractor that mate to the SSQA receivers on the implements.
View attachment 4995661
This measures about 44-5/8". See more detail below regarding this number and the associated clearance.
Next is the SSQA to 3pt adapter we have.

This measures right about 44-1/2".
When I try to hook up to this adapter this is the result:

So for now what I do is squeeze the loader with a large bar clamp:

That gives me just enough "squeeze" to clear the adapter and connect:

Needless to say, the clamp method on the loader like this is a pain in the butt. But it works.
When the weather warms Ill cut the sides of the adapter pate and lay more metal over that to open up another 1/4" on each side (1/2" total).
My gut tells me much less than 3/8" clearance total would make mating the loader arms unnecessarily difficult.
