Just thought I'd make this thread on snowmobiles.
Pictures would be welcome also. My snowmobile is a 1978 yamaha exciter 440. I am in the process of replacing the track, along with just fixing it up in general. I bought it around 3 weeks ago for $250. Can't wait to have it out in the snow. I will give an update for another snowmobile, if I get one. I am currently looking for another.

Kioti or Yamaha... I just love the feeling of doing firewood with kioti... or Yamaha! In winter time, I don't mind anymore having the tractor stuck with snow removal equipment...

Anyone know much about utility snowmobiles? How much more can you really haul with a skandic SWT, for example, than a big touring sled? I hauled some logs this year with my touring sled, worked great especially in the swampy areas, so now I'm wondering if the step up to a utility sled is worth the $.

I've got '97 and '98 Yamaha Mtn Max 700 triples. The 97 has triple pipe and is an absolute screamer and more than I need but very fun. '98 single pipe is the more utility-esque vehicle. Got 'em just in case I ever get REALLY snowed in but turns out they are pretty fun for winter cruising but keeping them well-maintained is definitely more of a pain in the butt than any other bit of machinery I use.
