Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Snow, Cold, Enough already

Since there were people complaining here abount no snow in Early January and it seemed to help, I thought I'd complain about too much and see if that helps.

Naaaa no complaints here,very laid back winter...if it ain't broke than don't touch it.

Hate to admit it but yeah "enough already". Starting to get a bit tired of the shoveling the walkway portion, the build up around the garage doors and just plain driving in it. This morning snow blows over the hood of the F150 from going through drifts in the lane, three tow trucks pulling cars out of the ditch on the way to office. I see on the news that some places in N.Y. have a major amount of snow over the last week.

Yep, your right, there will be lots of water in some places, also water can back up on roofs in some cases with ice dam. All depends on how fast it melts and as we know weather can go from one extreme to another fairly quick.

These were taken last Saturday (Feb 10,2007) on NY State Route 11 in Oswego County.

WOW! I knew that N.Y. had a major dump but I didn't think that deep. And OK I will not complain. What amount was reported to have fallen there?

Some of the hardest hit areas recieved almost 12 feet of lake effect snow in a 1 week period.

Couple that with high winds and the snow with drifting is quite formidable

Good greif!!! I was just on that road 2 weeks ago when I went up to pick up a ebay purchase. That alomost looks as bad as the mountain pass's in WA state in the winter. I guess I should be thankful for only getting a few inch's of snow and a few inch's of ice.

Wow, this post worked. It was 46 yesterday and forecast to be that way all week. This board has magical properties. I can start thinking about my rototiller now.

DTD, now that looks a little more managable and obviously more fun.


CCSIAL, Nice thought aout the tiller, lots of things to do in warm weather as well but for me the first thing this morning was to get the wet snow of the decks. Don't want to rebuild them when I don't have to.
