I agree that there are too many different sub forums. One way to consolidate would be to collaps all the manufacturer-specific foums into a single forum for that manufacturer. So instead of having a serparate Buying and Owning forum for each brand, just have a single forum for everything specific to that brand. That would cut the number way back. And there are several other groups that I think coudl be consolidated. Liek have a single Vintage forum rather than 3. And have a single Construction Equipment forum and fold in the Skid Steer and Excavator forums. I think this would have little negative impact on daily useage, while reducing the number of forums by perhaps 20-30%.

And if everyone would stop adding to all the threads and stop reading them there wouldn't be any reason to do anything.
You have a tractor.
They have a tractor.
I have a tractor.
Keep it to yourself.
If you feel like shoot'n the sh-t :poop:go down to the co-op or old folks home.;)

We have a ton of sub forums, but often, its hard to find one that fits the topic. Related Topics/Rural living are basically the catch all.

I don't think the "feature" of an op to "moderate" a thread is a good idea ...

I never use the "new post" stuff or bother with the marketplace spamming ...

I agree that a lot could be lumped together ... All of less popular "brands/labels" could be lumped in together, same with antiques and lawn tractors too ... I don't see a reason for 5 areas in John Deere ...

While I have figured out where the different brands are that I'm interested in ... Maybe alphabetical order would be better?

Muhammad do you remember what happened the last time you made changes?
We went from a beautiful elite gated Kubota community to…..this[emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]

Maybe I instead the OP (or Moderate) could have an option of a "Resolved" tag to the thread title, when it has ran its coarse.

The ones where back in 2018, a guy needed a tire size, 5 or 10 comments back then, and randomly (not sure how they even ran across it) in 2026, someone pops up with the answer

My saved Favorites' tab goes straight to new posts. I can't imagine paging down through all the sub-titles looking to help someone out. I've always thought making a new post was difficult because it's not clear where to post it. There are so many subtitles, it's hard to choose the best so I just don't. I like the function of displaying the text on "mouse-over". I wish all the forums I frequent had this function. Don't get rid of that, please.

What was this thread about anyway? I lost track.

Oh now I remember. Underwear!

So what about them? Will there be a separate thread for those who go commando?

Don't forget the boxers or brief club. Then there are boxer briefs.

Do you include adult diapers here?

Thread drift? It happens. I recently posted we are looking for an SUV. Generally it stayed on topic and I got good ideas. There was definitely a little thread drift but at some point you get all the useful information. Thread drift can actually be a good thing.

Depends . . .

Totally off-topic. But for those who might not remember . . .

Bob Dole ran for President in 1996 against Bill Clinton. He was 73 years old (I think).

Simpler time back then -- No porno stars or pedophile islands to discuss. Back then, it was always a running joke for a journalist to ask the candidates, "Boxers or Briefs"??

Dole had a dry sense of humor and simply said "Depends."
