It's got nothing to do with '...protect(ing) imaginary victims' and everything to do with having the integrity and honor to obey the rules you agreed to when you registered.
I think if we held everyone to account to the letter of the rules, no one would be left.

I could take issue with your insinuation that I don't have integrity or honor. That would be a violation of the terms depending on the viewpoint of the moderators...see how that works.

It may be OK in PA to call someone dishonorable, but here in Texas, "them's fightin' words". ;)

Relax, try to not get offended so easily.

Nope. I'll tell you why. It takes away from the overall happiness of the place. Two people taking over a thread (and I've been guilty of it, too) arguing back and forth, and not just arguing, but flinging the insults... if they were sitting next to you at a restaurant, you'd either tell them to shut up, or you'd get up and leave. You wouldn't just sit there and listen to it.
Haha...depends on the restaurant and how long I'd been sitting. You notice I would not, in your example, get the other guy thrown out.

It's a funny thing on to be identifiable or not.

Some members proudly go by their name and or business name and find it to be a good thing...

My Realtor friends can't seem to get their name out in public enough and many in sales are like this

My Grandfather was in Auto Sales 50+ years and the entire time his business card had the Dealership AND his residence address and phone number.

As a child I asked him why he did this and he said business is all about trust and auto sales even more so...

My customers come to me mostly by referral and I have often sold several generations in the same family...

A delighted customer is the best advertising and having my name and address on my business card instills trust...

My how things have changed... walk into a Dealership today and although the sales licences must be posted they all have address blacked out...

Still enjoyed tagging along when a call would come in after hours and Grandpa would say I'm on my way and Grandmother saying don't be too long...

Remember when locked steering wheels came out? Had more than several customers stuck because their key didn't work!

One was a retired school teacher who curbed her wheel and then was unable to use the key due to the pressure on the steering lock.

She was so embarrassed calling on a Sunday she sent my Grandmother flowers with a handwritten note!

Ahahahaha ok tough guy.
Maybe “Sodomy Man“ fits you?
See how it feels?
I dont want to be called names, and dont want to call people names.
It feels nothing, Dude. Unless there is truth in that, it's just name-calling. But if there is truth in that, and it hurts, then there is guilt to address. See a shrink and sort it out.

Moderation protects the sick at the expense of the healthy.

I am not offended nor did I say a specific person lacked honor or integrity. Finally, there are only a few miscreants who do not obey the rules, the vast majority of members do. The miscreants place a high value on winning arguments on the Internet.

Integrity and honor should be paramount to a moderator.
They are. Not so with people who are banned then re-register with a different userid. Ah, IP addresses, gotta love 'em. They reveal so much.

One thing I have observed in one year of poking around here is that you are a bully. I've never been afraid of bullies.
I strongly suggest you take this to Muhammad, VS hashing this out in the public forums.

What rules? When we can't take a ribbing and view a sense of fun as a personal attack in violation of the rules, then we are shutting down social discourse.
Your problem is you dont understand the difference between a tractor website and twitter.
I cant speak for Muhammad, but I think he might be trying an experiment in relaxing what is allowed to be talked about, not creating an insult Forum?
But thats just a hunch.
