Iam looking to add a quick attach conversion to my model 75 loader on my Deere 850 tractor.
Was wondering if anyone has done this and what I might want to watch out for. Was considering purchasing
A weld on unit from one of the Chinese manufacturers or are these junk? A Pin on unit made specifically for my loader is just way to expensive.. your thoughts?

I've bought brackets for my 420 loader, to attach a few things, from these guys. Good stuff, made in USA (I think). I didn't search for your specific loader though...

I found a kit from J.D. with it's own part number for this conversion. Works great on my 80 loader, even the level indicator. I bought a new bucket, forks, a hay spear, tree puller, a grapple, and extra plates from Amazon to make a snow plow mount and a front loader mounted hydraulic PHD that only uses 1 loader arm.
I only had to narrow the curl cylinder collars by a mm to make it work. A grinding wheel and 5 minutes was all it took.

By far, forks are the most used, even for trenching ! I'm not even sure where my new bucket is right now !

Do you have the JD quick attach on yours and want to convert to skid steer quick attach? If so they make plates for that. If not you’ll have to get a pin on plate.

I've converted half a dozen or so different loader to SSQA, including one big (75 HP) John Deere. Don't recall the model. Do you have links to the parts you're talking about?

No, Iam looking to setup a quick attach on my model 75 loader that works with skidsteer standard. It is presently a pin on loader

I’ve built a few things in my time. Last thing was a log splitter.i have a stick welder and the usual assorted hand tools

I think they make a pin on to get you SSQA for your loader. You just need to get the right spacing.

Check out H.W. Long. They make the adaptor plates for all sorts of conversions. CHanges my Great Bend loader from pin on to SSQD and changed the 4in1 bucket that was pin on to SSQD.. Mostly use forks and grapple now, very seldom hook up the bucket, but having the SSQD really makes a difference.

You are looking for a skid steer quick attach (SSQA) conversion, and yes, the weld-on kits from overseas are way cheaper.

I converted my Kubota in August of 2023 and have been quite happy with it. I bought the adapters from Amazon, and what I bought was overbuilt, but reasonably priced. I will say, though, that the tractor side needed a little modification, in that the levers did not pull up to 90 degrees (straight up, so I had to cut out a notch at the top so they could swing to where they would stay up while changing implements. I also cut out the center of the adapter plate on the bucket side, to save weight. Cut the original brackets off my WR Long 4N1 bucket and welded them onto the tractor-side adapter, then welded the SSQA plate onto the bucket. Looks almost factory.

Links below.

Tractor side: Amazon.com Unfortunately, not available at this time from Amazon.

Bucket side, .5" thick plate (probably could have gotten a .375" plate instead, with a 40hp tractor): Amazon.com: 1/2" Skid Steer Mount Plate Quick Tach Attachment Loader Plate Compatible with Bobcat Kubota, with One Year Warranty : Patio, Lawn & Garden

I'm thinking SSQA and mount it to the 3pt.. Also. Old ford they Bolted a Hay spear to the Bucket. I had other Welding repairs To take care so I filled them in. I have skid forks from a fork lift and I believe I see a easy QA. setup for them. With a Rear Receiving Hitch it is getting interesting! No PS. And it sure easier with Weight to offset the FEL.. I use and leave a old Int. BH. that's super heavy just for that reason. 4' and a few inches smaller than the rear tire Displacement. Don't have to worry about catching BH. on anything. I seen one with the Receiving Hitch QA. and Forks possibly? Easily add more weight for Ballast. That just may happen INKY. either. Amazon.com

Yeah, I was (am) going to do that to my JD-770 (one of these days) and I looked all around also. I was going to go with I believe W.R.Long as you can download a form and fill out the dimensions of your loader/pin setup and send them in and they would make you one. Can't remember the specifics. As far as the bucket the 'Tube had a few guys that showed how to DIY it. I do want to save the bucket on the JD as it is really robust and I still do use it a lot.

I do have my LS now and it certainly is nice having the QA and the wife does like the auto tranny but she feels more comfortable using the smaller JD. Having the QA on the JD would help out as I could have the wife move some stuff for me with the forks so I don't have to stop farting around playing with the LS, I mean stop working on my project.

I was leaning towards the full bracket between the arms so it would (in theory) have some twisting prevention strength when using it to shove stuff sideways or offset heavy on one side like, dirt, gravel, rocks, etc.

We do have a couple of welding shops around me so if I don't feel confident with my welding then I can take it to them to have it done, I can't think it would cost too much and having a little more peace of mind helps.

Junk pile! Still have a Bottom 3pt. and a hitch receiver. The forks are still on the dead forklift. Now just figure out a top link attachment. Shouldn't be all that much to it. How cheap to!!
