Yes, no height restrictions it's a 45 acre farm and one small corner has a crazy neighbor, hoping to not get shot today as I build it. Picked up 36 6x6x12s CCA hoping to get them close to 4 feet , two bags of concrete in each hole, one dry and probably mixing the top to come above the ground but will require multiple trips to our pond with 5 gallon jugs. If I post again it means I didn't get shot :)

No greater blessing then having a good neighbor. And just the opposite is true if you have a bad one. Good luck.

I suspect all SS screws are not created equal. A couple years back I put about 5000 3 1/2" stainless steel screws into a deck in coastal Virginia, using ACQ treated yellow pine 2x6's for the deck and 2x8s for the joists. No predrilling. Not one screw snapped or stripped, and that treated yellow pine is pretty tough. I use square drive SS screws from McFeely's. In very hard spots some of the screws actually corkscrewed a bit as they went in (I was using a Makita impact driver). But no screw failed.

I used Kreg stainless steel pocket screws to build the frame for that shadowbox fence I posted earlier in this thread. No problems.

Good luck

That shadow box design is the most aesthetically pleasing from both sides but in your case I might not worry about that.

Crazy neighbors are a PITA. I have one that had an even crazier boyfriend. She finally saw the light and kicked him out. I am pretty sure he and I would have eventually come to a confrontation beyond words.

I use my loader bucket to haul water and dip out of it with a 2-1/2 gallon plastic bucket.

Ahh... CNS disease. (crazy neighbor syndrome). Be careful out there!

We have about 8 neighbors. 7 aren't crazy. And, fortunately, even she has had most of the fight drained out of her in recent years due to alcohol and pain killers. I'd bet she doesn't weigh 85 pounds now.

Are you living next to my ex.?

This makes me want to renew my plans to build a wind break on the north west corner of my yard. I built a wall of about 80 6X5 round bales in the opening a few years back, but all the twine is rotted and it is time to haul them away. Really, now hard is it to build a fence. I already have the material in the yard, except for posts

Well long day got 15 posts set out of 35, all the holes dug, Average was 3 ft some went 4 hit a rock shelf in one section that I haven't set yet and only got 24 inches before hitting solid rock, not sure but I am thinking I will go ahead and set them on the rock then pour several bags of concrete up around the base that's about all I can think to do when only setting them 2 ft deep, it sucks but 2 huge rocks shelves and I can't dig through without a hoe ram which I can't rent.

Did actually talk to the neighbor he came out at 8 actually had a decent chat it started off a little rough but got civil and we shook hands before he went back to his house. He just wants to be left alone which was fine I voiced my concerns about him shooting across the property and assured me he wouldn't shoot my wife or daughter didn't get a clear answer on me but oh well they appear to be safe. Those 6x6x12 weight between 150 and 250# the lighter ones I was able to bear hug and get in the holes, the wet ones weighed so much I couldn't pull them out of the hole when I miss measured so hooked it to a chain and pallet forks and raised it up, glad I had a tractor. Long day going to start back at it again tomorrow after Church. Glad I didn't get shot and actually had a civil conversation with neighbor, more talking that we have done in 2 years I was glad and appreciative he came to the fence to talk. The giant fence will take me a while to build, Ended up semi mixing the concrete in the holes, with water and spud bar so didn't pour it dry

Glad I went with the 6x6s I think they will take many years to rot away if I can get 15 years out of it I will be excited LOL
