Just to give one more final update on my attachment - it works great.

I moved my ~3000lb, 20' car hauler the other day; piece of cake. It even made a sharp turn really nicely.

Old Thread, but I have had great success with the bucket mounted hitch, and moving easily 3500-4000 lb trailer with 300-400 tongue weight, up and down an incline. I purchased the one found on Amazon:

Then welded larger iron parts on the clamping surfaces. I then built a wood frame for the hitch, to control any tail movement. This has fixed all the previous faults I had read about. The 'Adjust-A-Stud' supports the wooden frame with lateral tension to the sides of the bucket.

I'm still very happy with my cheapo ssqa trailer hitch. Used it the other night to bring my camper back over to the house, since winter looks pretty over with.

And then shuffle my car hauler trailer as well, which I now sort of use as an attachment/implement drawer.
