adding limit switches would be a pain, that said it prolly wouldn't work for me. it would only work on level ground. i find i need to hold my tractor in place on hills, before the stabs go down, i find my pedal is all over the place, depending on the slop
That's interesting! Sounds like you're using the hydrostat as a brake until you get the stabs down. I do like the simplicity of your mod in spite of the thoughts about making it more complicated. :)

Edit: These electric over mechanical mods are interesting to me having a background in industrial controls. A hydrostat controlled throttle would be another one.

yep, couple seconds in relief, isn't going to hurt anything. and like I mentioned above. Its 1 pin partially remove it, and 2 clips to fully remove it. and the electric is also quick disconnect. it really is nice. I am real happy how it turned out.

I agree, and truth be known, I'll bet that most hydrostats are passing a small amount of fluid over relief even when parked in gear and the engine running. I doubt that the pedal is always precisely "centered" when taking the foot off of it.
