Apparently we are in for a show Thursday night.
The article says they will be seen as far south as the nothern US.

We get them fairly frequently. Maybe once a year in Washington. The trouble is that our constant rain and clouds obstruct the view.

I saw the Northern Lights while flying enroute to Green Bay 2 weeks ago (we were right over L. Michigan abeam Milwaukee)...it was the most intense light show I've ever seen. The solar activity must be off the scale right now.
