I have a small jib crane for the monarch. I put that up. I use a die cart that crank lifts for vise and stuff on mills. I ordered the auto lifts.13k lift capacity each for a total of 52k. Wireless w pendant controls. Mobile column lifts, full height jackstands (swap out lifts for brake work and such) and bumper lift attachment for full frame vehicles, ie my pickups. With that you can drop down to lifting with just 2, one on each end. I have to fabricate something up to lift the crawlers, maybe a runway of a sort.

finished the dust collection for wood shop. The
collector resides in metal shop below in closet. Controlled via remote. Nice and quiet

I also got most of copper run in all 3 shops for air. The fabrication area shows some of lines. Dust collecton pipe hides it in wood shop

WOW! This is my dream shop......
Yeah... show off! Looks droolable. Separate wood and metal areas? Hoping I will get there. Like your dust collection system. Do you have a static ground? Just saw a cool idea to wrap your plastic ducts with foil HVAC tape spiral like a barber pole and ground it to your outlet.

I didn't do much for grounding in the past when I ran it in my basement. I will look up your idea and see what I need to do
Thank u!

Beautiful job and well done!

Beautiful shop inside and out. Good looking truck too!

Well nobody asked so I will. How much did it cost?

For starters, around here 25 tons of select fill 80k# 18 wheeler, run $400-$450/load. 200 loads.......you do the math. One would think/hope that you have business interests in mind that will make that kind of investment profitable. It is beautiful and I commend you on your/your contractor's craftsmanship. Surely a sign of the quality of the makings from therein when you get it going. It is pretty as you know and deserve the ratings you are getting. Grin. Thanks for sharing.

This is from post #16

2000 cu yards of fill and foundation/grading is about 80k
material was around 125k
electric and service is about 25k (300 ft run from pole, trenching etc) ton of 6awg cable in shops for 3phase etc so pricy
builder/labors/subs etc 100k

So about 330,000 adding this up!!!!!

Why is it anyone's business anyway, he said what it cost so he didn't care if anyone knew, but so many people are so noisy as to what something cost someone,

It is really nice to see a beautiful shop like this built and the OP clearly is quite handy, working in both wood and metal. He had a lot of site expense that many would not have; I thought the cost of the building itself to be reasonable for the quality of work being done.
Lots of room in the woodshop to move large boards around, and with the dust collection system, tools can be left out and not covered in
whatever is flying around. Not seeing any fire extinguishers, suggest a pressurized water unit, not dry powder. Well, I'd have a few of each...
fire alarm system?
this shop rates an 11 on the slobber meter, wipe up after yourself.

Thx all
Central alarm system, heat detectors etc and yep I will have plenty of extinguishers. All in time, still progressing. I just finished a plexiglass wrap in garage area from floor up to 4 ft to protect walls. Next a chair rail of some sort to keep dust from getting between
