Here's the door to the shower. Now, this is a little different than your general run-of-the-mill shower in that the actual shower head is around the door you see on the right. Our goal was to have a shower that required no door or curtain and that offered some degree of privacy in case the kids came barging in. Although I think our design achieved this, my wife is now concerned that it might be a little drafty in there when showering. We may end up adding either a door or curtain to one of the openings.

This is the wall where the vanity will be. The transom windows you see will be above the mirror and were the only way we cound figure out to get some natural light in the bathroom.

My daughter's room, standing in the doorway. The opening you see on the right leads to her bathroom and closet.

In this picture, I'm standing in the entry to the bath area looking toward the opposite wall. There is a little alcove where you see the far window that will have a little desk built in. The closet-looking area to the left is actually fairly shallow and will contain built-in shelving to display her dolls, stuffed animals and other treasures.

Her bathroom was originall designed to have a shower stall. Last minute changes to a tub necessitated more modifications of the floorplan which, ultimately, resulted in her having the largest closet in the house. Actually, she also has the largest bedroom. Go figure, smallest kid has the largest space. Here is the tub and stub for the toilet in her bath.

Here, I'm standing where the toilet will go and shooting toward the opposite wall. This is where her vanity goes, with the sink on the right. On the left side of the counter, there is going to be something similar to an appliance garage that one sees in kitchens. Here is where her blow dryer and other hair curly thing will be stored, hopefully, out of sight when not in use. You can see that there will be an electrical outlet inside the garage so her electrical items can stay plugged in. Actually, my wife has seen these garage things in some magazine and decided that everyone gets one. So we will have one, and both kids each get one. Whether we wanted them or not. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is my son's room. It is slightly smaller than my daughter's room, but he had first choice and decided that this would be his space.

This shows the entry to a hallway that leads to a study, his bath and closet. The study is the first room to the right off the hallway. It has the large window seen on the front of the house than rox asked about in an earlier post.

Here's the best I can do with a picture of the study. I had the camera against the wall and just guessed about the composition of the picture.

While we call it a study, my son is calling it his gaming room. I think he envisions late night poker games and Xbox action with his buds. He'll soon see that its just about big enough for one person.

I've got a few more to post, but the Georgia-Georgia Tech football game is calling me. I'll be back at halftime.

Looking good bmac, it brings back fond memories of our new house project a couple of years back. Of course, those memories live on in all of my on-going projects around the place. How long before move-in?

Thanks, Rob. We're expecting things to wrap up sometime in February or March.

I'll continue with a few more pics during the halftime report. This is looking into my son's bathroom from the hallway.

Straight ahead is the toilet stub. To the left of the toilet is his shower stall.

I think I've mentioned it enough before, but, just to refresh everyone's memory, the kid's rooms I've just shown are upstairs. There is also a guest room upstairs. From the top of the stairwell, the kids rooms are to the left. If you look right from the top of the stairs, there is a little area that my wife has determined to be a reading area and is shown in this photo. You pass through the reading area to get to the guest room.

Standing in the corner of the last picture looking back toward the entrance. The door on the left is a closet, on the right is the entry into the room.

Panning to the right is the entrance into the guest bath. You can see the tub on the right. The vanity will be on the left, opposite the tub. Going through the door past the tub, to the right (behind the end wall of the tub) is a shower and to the left is the toilet.
