The mower does come up pretty quick. I haven't really worried about it. But do you realize that you can raise it as well as the 3 Pt hitch slower by pulling the handle toward your leg and then pulling it against the inner notch in the slot. That can be used to bring the hitch up about a 1/4" at a time, but it can also be used to raise an implement slowly. If it doesn't work like that, you can adjust the stops for up or down. ChuckinNH started a thread on how to do it.

Congrats and btw I thought shorts and boots were recommended tractoring uniform in the summer.

I love the mower. First time removing the mower deck took about 3 min. Did a fantastic job mowing my yard which was thick because the old tractor has been broke.

does it have enough power to mow thru grass with that 60" deck? do you run up any hills

I really can't imagin needing more power for the mower deck. The day i bought the tractor my grass was super thick from not mowing for a month since the old one puked the hydro oil and it never even grunted. I mow in mid range with some small hills and have no trouble at all. I supose if you had real steep hills you might mow in low.
It's not like a 23hp gas powered riding mower. I've cleared 3ft high vegetation with my 60" mower deck (bush hog would have been good but not buying one for a 1/4 acre of one time clearing) and it never bogged down. My only regret is not buying the la364 loader.
