Tractor
JD 310d, JD 4110
To prevent diesel fumes from entering my garage, I started pushing/rolling my jd 4110 hydro right outside beforre starting it up. Is it possible to do any damage internally or is this a no worry issue?

Thank you,
Tim

As long as the gear selector is in NUETRAL, there is no problem. I sometimes do the same thing.

I take it your putting the range selector in neutral. That's the only way you'd be able to push it by hand. It's not going to hurt a thing. Not on the tractor anyway ;)

The operators manual says you can tow the tractor this way too. At least it does in mine.

Welcome to TBN :D! I hope your driveway is level. You do not want to get that tractor away from you. I ran over my foot trying to stop my Honda CRX Si once ; no damage to me-very light car :p. I did drag it to a stop rodeo style . I do not see a problem if your HST in neutral. Jay

Thank you all, yes it is in neutral.

I tell you when I was young, my Father had a diesel Audi and Mom a diesel Volvo, - that garage was black.

Mine will not be that way.

Don't see that it could damage anything in neutral.

You must park yours with nothing on it. I park mine with the FEL and whatever's on the 3 ph in down position. Would have a hard time pushing it out of the garage even in neutral.

My 4010 starts with white or blue smoke, no black.

heck I can't pull my 90hp 4x4 tractor with the FEL and 3PH in the up position with my Dodge 3/4ton diesel 4x2 unless it is on pavement. On flat ground, all I do is spin my tires.... It takes 4x4 Low on th Chevy to get it moving if it needs a pull start and that is one uncomfortable ride for the poor guy in the truck. When you let the clutch out on the tractor, it feels like you are hitting a brick wall in the truck.
