Had to buy a radiator for my YM155d, the new ones mounts are spaced too far apart so I made some brackets to fix the spacing. Once I thought I had my mounting issue addressed i find out my stock fan shroud will not fit on the new radiator and it rubs the fan. I know there was a design change and I was hoping to get directed to a maybe proper fitting radiator or have recommendations made on what to do?

Thanks in advance

Is the radiator too deep in depth to cause the cooling fan to rub the fan shroud?
Or is the radiator too wide causing the shroud to flex inwards and the fan rubs?

There are two different ways at looking at this from your description.

The shroud won't fit on to the radiator, and if I adjust to get it around the fan the shroud seems to set too low

Are you capable of fabricating a new shroud then?

I was going to take a grinder to it and adjust if I couldn't get any other ideas
With a 40yo tractor and newer replacement radiators, there isn't much to offer.
Remember to measure twice and then thrice before making any cuts.
Think it through before starting the work.

40yo plastic doesn't behave as nice as new plastic.
It might be a little on the brittle size.
Use caution.

Try mounting a larger fan. The mounting bolts will stay the same. Except on the YM240. Which are 2" to the Fan Mount. The 155D Fan # CF-4474. Radiator/cap # RA-4060.
Models 135,155,165,1100,1300 uses it. Look for those models for the Shroud. I have no # listing for it.
