Dogs are doing great.

Ayi is a little light right now. Hopper is 113 lbs and seems to be holding that for the last month. Apollo is still healthy and active. Ro is wild. View attachment IMG_5342.jpg

I was putting in fence yesterday and walked back to the house for my pocketknife and Jefanna told me I walked right by two babies. One of the goats had two kids. Both bucks. These are the first 100% NZ Kiko born on our farm. I’m excited to see what they grow into over the next four months. They are skinny right now.

Oh. And Ayi was not pregnant. We thought that she was but Hopper may have just been too young. Next go round will likely be different.

You are right. Fencing is expensive. I don't really want to cross fence my place, mainly due to price, but also due to convenience.

I am applying for a wildlife exemption.

Looks like there is still snow on the ground in one of the videos. I guess he's gotten behind on his videos and is just now trying to catch up. Hopefully nothing happened that was really bad.

It has been unseasonably hot lately. I started consolidating footage that I had taken and put those update videos together. I managed to lose the footage where I rebuilt the barn that blew into the woods.
I also lost most of the footage of some inside work. When we moved in we were using rolling clothes racks and some cheap flat pack freestanding cabinets. We got our money out of them, as we had used them in both rentals over about 5 years ago. Jefanna wanted iron pipe to hang clothes and some modular drawers that she had purchased and stacked on the floor of the bedroom when we moved in. I got all that put together and she was pleased with the outcome.

She wanted “floating”shelves but I got her to meet me halfway on the design. I used honduran mahogany that was 25 years old when I bought it almost 20 years ago. I had offered it for sale 2 years ago when we
Moved in for about almost givaway price and still everyone who contacted me wanted me to cut the price or wanted me to sell them half a board. I used about 40 bd feet total in the projectView attachment IMG_5811.jpg

On Nov 6, Ayi had puppies. 12 puppies, all alive and well. First was born at 3 am and the last was born about 3:30. PM. Lauren was the dog Dulah. She was down in the barn with Ayi the whole time.

That's a lot of puppies to find homes for!!!! I like puppies when they are about 6 weeks old, and until they find a new home. Hopefully at 8 to 9 weeks old!!! For those couple of weeks, they are fun, but it sure is nice when they are gone and the world returns to normal again.

There is gonna be overlap withnpuppies and baby goats this year. We have 5 goats with confirmed pregnancy, expected to start delivering in the next two weeks. That barn is going to get crowded.

We got rid of our boys in July and had 9 babies on Sunday, and 5 more since then. I guess we should of gotten rid of the boys a week earlier!!!
