ML 230 Control Valve

Hello all, first post here. Sure hope someone here can help. I have a Mahindra 3525 with an ML 230 FEL. The FEL control valve is leaking hydraulic fluid and I've been unable to find a rebuild kit. Surely there is on but my Mahindra dealer says no? I'm not against a full replacement of the valve but not at the expense of $700+. Any help is appreciated.

Mahindra may not offer a rebuild kit but the valve probably has the ability to be disassembled and fixed. It is possibly just an o-ring , copper washer or similar easily procured and replaced item. My personal experience with leaking control valves has twice been that the leak was caused by an easily replaced o-ring and once a copper washer. This may not be your current issue but I would attempt to see where the actual leak is, take that section out/apart and see if there is a ripped/damaged part you can find a generic replacement for.

Any GOOD hydraulic shop can match some O rings and/or backup washers for your valve for a few dollars. If that doesn't fix the leaks, you can find a replacement 10 gpm joystick valve at a number of places for around $200. Don't be suckered into paying much more than that. I've changed out more than one, and a little shopping can save you a bunch.

I have had extraordinary luck purchasing hydraulics on Ebay. The last two control valves I bought were NIB and less than $50 each...1 was a 3 spool the other a 5 spool. (probably about $1300 retail value together) Patient, careful watching and using every conceivable hit word search for the item ( including common misspellings, like "hydrolic") is a good way to find items that are not listed well and get few views. These kinds of extreme bargains take dedicated watch/searching though and is more suited for an item you don't need right away.

Try Bailey Hydraulics. #220-957 joystick valve - power beyond capable. I've installed a number of them. $185 + freight. So far, I have heard no complaints about them.
