Mini Modification

It was 1/2" round, 36" long cold rolled steel I believe. I got it at either Lowe's or Home Depot (can't recall). I grinded the last few inches of the end flat to match up with the stock part. Essentially, I tried to make the end look as much like the original part as possible.

Taylor battery operated panel mount with remote sensor. The sensor is inserted in a well near the middle of the tank

Ordered a Tiny Tach commercial model for the other side. The Tiny tach would not work at all with the Kohler engine. I was looking for a multi function gauge that you could switch between sensors ( CHT, EGT and Tank Temp.) Had to settle for the Taylor thermometer. The Tiny tach people told me they were working on a cylinder head temperature gauge I do not know the status of that.
