Can any one tell me how to replace the cap on the bottom of the final drive assembly? Can it be remove without taking the entire assembly apart?
My Mahindra is the 2005 new sheet metal model and i don't think there are any bolts to remove. Would I still remove the cap by prying it out with a screwdriver or punch? Sorry about posting the previous comment in the wrong forum. You should post in the Mahindra forum for these questions. Yes, you can replace that cap. On my 4110 you remove the 3 bolts and flat plate covering the cap. You can drive a punch or screwdriver thru it with a hammer and pry it out just like a freeze plug - which it is pretty much except that it is rubber coated. Carefully and evenly tap the new one back in and refill the outdrive with 90w.
