long threaded posts won\'t load

Perhaps this is a question more for Muhammad, but I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this, or if it's a pecularity with my browser. Messages with about 30 threads or more won't load. It's like the server can't respond. I've been trying to figure out a way to read the HST vs GST thread, since I'm up in the air on this one. I can't even read the thread I started (yet another 'what should I get'?). Anyone have any ideas as to what's happening?

Have you tried viewing them in flat mode?

Yes. None of the individual posts would load, either. I only tried this on the HST vs GST thread, though...

Have not seen that problem at all with W98 and Internet Explorer.

The default is set up to flat now. Since you are registered, change your preferences to threaded. Preferences also allows you to set the number of lines per page and several other variables in the edit profile. You have to be able to read long threads to get any information here. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Yikes... [thinking] ... ok, what error are you getting? A 'System Error' or a '404 Page Not Found'? Or, if not either of those, which error? (Will be in your browser title bar)

After a few minutes, I get the message saying something like "server not responding". I get the hourglass until then, unless I hit stop. I'm running win2k and Nutscrape 4.5. I'll try it under IE and see what it does...

Well, I just tried it again using the same browser and it now works. It could be our netcache box. Sometimes it acts up if the current software is buggy (we develop netcache, and test it out company wide).
