Why go though all the adjustment PIA if the tractor is not setup to do it easily, make up a set of limit chains.
I wasn't familiar with using 'limit chains', but after a bit of Googling, I kind of get the idea, but am wondering how they may work on a ditch bank mower when the top link bracket gets shifted out the to the side or tilted 90deg. I can't see how the chain would limit the height of the mower w/o limiting the articulation, but once I get the mower back on the tractor, I'll better be able to visualize. Why go though all the adjustment PIA if the tractor is not setup to do it easily, make up a set of limit chains.
No it does not there is a mechanical breakaway swing on the hitch but no hydraulic relief.Hello Lou,
I hope you are tolerating the dry weather, I am for sure,
for once it is nice to see the clay all caked up and dried
out in my sod that passes for lawn.
Does the swing circuit cylinder on your shredder have a
relief valve or a flow metering valve?
I have not bothered to take the tarp off the Lawn Genie
pick up mower at all this season so far.

I wonder how hard it would be to make hydraulic driven brush like system to pull the grass up after the tires but before the mower?I cut around 5-6" high for better grass health. I deal with raised tire tracks a lot. Not worth it to mow fields & pastures low enough to get rid of the tracks.
Peruzzo makes what is basically a hydraulically powered weed eater head that hangs off the side of the flail mower. For trimming fence lines. I don't remember if it was self powered with a hydraulic pump off the flail gearbox or ran off the tractor hydraulics. At any rate it was $1-2k 5 odd years ago. I'd imagine that would be a starting point.I wonder how hard it would be to make hydraulic driven brush like system to pull the grass up after the tires but before the mower?
