Why go though all the adjustment PIA if the tractor is not setup to do it easily, make up a set of limit chains.
I wasn't familiar with using 'limit chains', but after a bit of Googling, I kind of get the idea, but am wondering how they may work on a ditch bank mower when the top link bracket gets shifted out the to the side or tilted 90deg. I can't see how the chain would limit the height of the mower w/o limiting the articulation, but once I get the mower back on the tractor, I'll better be able to visualize.

Most limit chains are to set the maximum drop/lowering of your lift arms.

Well heck I hooked up my ditch bank mower, moved it over in the shade to grease it and check it over.
While greasing it needed to swing it out to access a few of the grease fittings.
Started to swing it out and it only went a foot or so, what the h, tried it a couple of more times.
Damn did I get lines crossed???
Nope , no such luck.
I had forgotten about the "transport" "safety" pin.
My Branson still has good hydraulic pressure, enough to start to collapse the rectangular tubing the main beam is made from were the front side swing pivot pin is mounted too.
So I guess I'll be ordering some rectangular tube and flat stock to plate it with and then I'll be doing some disassembly, cutting, fitting and welding.
Just what I wanted to do in this hot weather.

Question for the experts. Are these worth restoring to use in several steep hilly areas behind a Honda Rincon 4 wheeler? I have one complete flail and a parts unit so it seems like I would only need tires, wheels, and bearings etc. They came with new blades, a blade turning bar etc. I use a Mott flail behind a small Ford tractor for less hilly areas. Thanks in advance.

Depends on your useable skills and the size of your tool box.

Tires and wheels you can get from Palmetto Tire.

If your Honda has a winch you could purchase Rammy atv Flail mower
or buy my 48 inch Mathews lawn genie pick up mower and tow it behind
the Honda.

Thanks. Leonz

Plenty of tools. I slowed a bit on the project as I can’t find any wheels or tires on the website you mentioned. I can bring the wheels to tractor supply to get tires fitted. I’m in WA. Not sure where you are. Yes my Honda has a winch. Mathew’s flail is very cool. Thanks

Well my "little" whops from the other day is going to be fun;

Got some 2x5 inch rectangular tube ordered and some flat stock for gussets,
I'll be going about a foot back and cutting the original off, then trim of the upright to weld to a new piece of rectangular then weld the tubing together and add a couple of gussets to the sides were I weld it.

Didn't do much this morning only outside for a couple of hours, high heat and high humidity and I don't work well in those conditions.

Well I've made some progress over the last few days;
It became even more interesting when my new tubing was about 3/8 inch taller then the factory,

Time to start cutting out the gussets to plate the sides and strap iron to plate the top and bottom.

The $600 for a new beam is starting to look better all the time.
Wouldn't be so bad if I could keep after it instead of just a few hours at a time, getting old sucks,
but still better then the alternative.

Hello Lou,

I hope you are tolerating the dry weather, I am for sure,
for once it is nice to see the clay all caked up and dried
out in my sod that passes for lawn.

Does the swing circuit cylinder on your shredder have a
relief valve or a flow metering valve?

I have not bothered to take the tarp off the Lawn Genie
pick up mower at all this season so far.
