John Deere 4400; New Holland TN65

Sometimes while I was raking hay last week, the hour meter went blank on my John Deere 4400 compact tractor. I would appreciate any advice.
Could it be caused by a blown fuse?
The owner's manual is no help.

Does your fuel gauge still work? There IS a fuse for the time clock but don't recall which it is...

All other gauges operate as normal; only the hour meter is out. Have not had time to remove the dash and check the connection or check the fuses.

Your best hope is the connector contacts are dirty/corroded. If cleaning them does not help, then you need
a new cluster ($$$$), or install a separate hour meter. I did the latter.
