John Deere 5400
Hello All,

I am new hear but I am working on my John Deere 5400. I installed a Reman Complete Clutch from John Deere. My main concern is that when I put the tractor together the clutch pedal was very loose and I had to pull out all of the adjustment to get it back into clutch play spec. I am able to achieve this but again the pedal adjustment is pulled completely in to do so. I was told by Tri-Green that the clutch fingers should already be adjusted to spec. Is this correct? Do the clutches typically come pre-adjusted? I have only snugged the clutch housing bolts so at this point it would be quick and easy to separate and check. Unfortunately I missed the clutch finger adjustment tool specs in the back of the manual until I got to this point as I thought it was pre-adjusted. Any help or advice from past experience would be much appreciated. Also the PTO shaft spun freely before re-attaching the halves but now that its together it will not spin. Everything lined up correctly, I wiggled the PTO shaft and that went in and then wiggled the craftshaft until that slid in. I have the 9 speed Synchronized for reference.

Thanks,
Logan
