JD 3005 Hood

Ok call me stupid but how do you open the hood on a JD 3005 with FEL? I know about the front pin in the side grill and I can pull it out. I can also pull the front grill out slightly toward the loader but nothing else. I havn't found any other hood latches and it doesn't just raise up....

Pulling out the side latch should open it. You my have pull hard on latch if not adjusted right. Sometimes my 790 hood would catch the turn latches for the side covers, and I would pull out slightly on the side. To remove grille you have to remove top bolts in grille guard and tilt foward. Hope this helps

You have to lift it from the front after pulling the latch at the right front

Pull the side latch and the hood should pop up a little, Lift from the front. The not designed well tabs that hold the side panels do affect hood closing and opening at times....
