Tractor
Iseki TU 160F
Hi
I just bought my first tractor, as a project to renovate. I have no documents for it and the ID plate is so rusty I cant read it. From what I,ve seen on the internet it is a TU 160F probably made 1984/86. It has a 3 cylinder 16hp Mitsubishi engine (I think)
It starts but the clutch is seized and I think the electrics have been modified.
I desperately want an owners manual that I can refer to , I have searched the internet but cant find anything.
Can anyone out there help.

I have not found one specifically for the tu160. I do have a TU series owner's manual.

I see you are also in Uk. I think problem you had with starter is same with me.Turning key just makes a click, sometimes a rapid set of clicks but starter motor does,nt fire.I have noticed that battery negative lead gets very hot and smokes.Any ideas.

Hi I,m in Hebden Bridge West Yorks. I,ve decided to get the engine out so I can have a proper look at everything, so I will take starter off and have a look.

If your cables are getting hot, you have a bad connection. Unfasten the ends & scrape or sand them until they are shiney.

Hi
I may have bitten off more than I can chew.I now think that my tractor is a Landhope, which is different from a TU, it has a flat chassis which the engine and gearbox are bolted onto. The manual I have looks like it is for a TU 1600 which does,nt have the chassis.Anyway I should be able to separate the gearbox and then lift the engine out. The engine is marked K3D 37205, it also has K3D-D11G 16 on . On the block is stamped K3D 0.979l.
Does this mean anything to anyone?

The K3D is ude in the TU160,165,170,175, & 177.

Does it look like this Roy?
Hi Yes it looks exactly like the picture, except the side panels where it says Landhope 180 are missing on mine.
I assumed mine was a 160 because the engine mark is K3D 37205, K3D-D11G 16. and I thought the 16 meant 16hp hence 160.
What year is yours?
Roy

I wish I new what year it was but sadly I don't know. From what I have gathered it is a TU 180F. The f being for four wheel drive and the 180 being 18 hp. I have mostly used it for rototilling and plowing snow so far. I really like it, but am a little nervous about when it comes time to find parts.

Hi Loeonard
I got the engine out Ok.I took the clutch housing off to see why the clutch would,nt disengage.I unbolted the clutch plate from the flywheel, it came away no problem, the plates are good, the yoke moves freely on the splines, so I cant see why it would,nt disengage. I know the tractor had been laid up a long while,do you think that just by unbolting it from the flywheel freed it up?

My 180 also has a clutch lock out that I always use when the tractor is not in use!
