I wouldn't mess with the bent tooth either.
Ain't hurt'n nuthin.
Mean looking machine! I like it just the way it is!
I was wondering how he bent it. Bet that jarred the hech out of the operator!
Lol I was ripping small yaupon and cedar out of an oak sections and a giant oak root jumped out and bit me and shut the loader down HA! No worries though she can take much more than that... and the bent tooth makes no difference still works just the same... made me puker up a bit though there shouldn't have been a root for a good 20yrds... apparently one of the trees has long toe nails
Top hinged grapples are fine for brush but don't work as well as L shaped grapples for carrying logs, rocks etc. Gravity is your friend with fixed bottom tines but an enemy for top hinged grapple or 4n1.I want this grapple and a machine to put it on!
Look at the cylinders on that thing. It looks like 5" or maybe larger cylinders. I think it would be fine for carrying rocks or logs.Top hinged grapples are fine for brush but don't work as well as L shaped grapples for carrying logs, rocks etc. Gravity is your friend with fixed bottom tines but an enemy for top hinged grapple or 4n1.
Yep, had that style on the V518, don't want another one.:thumbdown:I want this grapple and a machine to put it on!

It's not the power, it's the geometry. When the upper arm makes solid contact with a log, it jams in that degree of closure and anything lower will fall out when lifted. Not an issue with compressible brush but an issue with non compressible things like logs and rocks. You can absolutely grapple one but anything smaller that's lower in the pile will not be secured and as the bottom tines are stubby and don't hold weight by themselves, the lower material falls out. Same with 4n1.Look at the cylinders on that thing. It looks like 5" or maybe larger cylinders. I think it would be fine for carrying rocks or logs.
