Nice! If you cut that in quarters I'd be able to roll them around with my little machine. :laughing:

I don't think I can cut it, would ruin a lot of chains, unless I had a large bandsaw. That log has been setting on the ground covered with coyote brush and poison oak for about 35 year its like iron

I bought a used poly water tank 10' 2" dia x 76" from a neighbor 3 miles away with the understanding that the pump & well service were to load it on to my trailer, as they are equipped with a boom crane on their truck. I arrived with my trailer and they said the tank won't fit on my trailer, I had taken my wider flat bed trailer 78 " width between the sides, the crew said "Oh the tank won't fit its to wide. I explained that I had measured it and it would fit. I had planned to give them 50 bucks for their trouble even though it was arranged up front as part of the job by my neighbor. They just wanted to cut up old tank with a sawzall. I didn't want to argue with them. I returned next day with my tractor and a simple (rube goldburg) jib crane. I found this old equipment rack in my metal scrap pile & secured it with chains to my grapple and away I went. I just had enough reach to load the tank other wise I would have gone to plan B. Anyway pictures of Grapple with Jib crane & the tank. I am going to send the pic to the crew that said it would not fit.

It wasn't bad, Slow & easy, I was just hoping that it was long enough to allow me some slack in the chain once I got it lifted up on the trailer to remove the chain (if it were to long loader might not lift the 900 lb tank) fortunately all worked well. I could have done some calc's to know for sure but it all looked right and besides it was just sitting in my scrap pile. I didn't want to make a bigger job out of it by building something like this. -->

Finally got my EA "Wicked 60" grapple on and working. Of course I was broke after buying the tractor and couldn't afford the 3rd Function valve and switch so I had to run the hoses back to the rear remotes. This will work just fine for the time being.

Hahahaha I'm getting to old to bite off more than I can chew. This is the size that was recommended.
