63 outside right now, heading to 70. Weather apps say rain is in the vicinity. We are not in the vicinity.

Split some more rounds, ran out of room to store splits, so took about 50 pieces to the burn piles. Wood splitter and I ran out of gas and we think we have in excess of seven cords stacked and ready to go. Asked neighbor if he wanted them, he has a pile to be split across the road. We are full of wood, so I expect a truly mild winter. /s

Wife made the call, for the burn pile and promptly got the tractor out to help.

Congrats on the camp @ArlyA. Best of luck with the new property.

Not much on the agenda today, I do need some time at the bank for the DMV. Hunting down required paperwork for a new RealID. Wish the states would get their acts together and accept other additional forms of Government ID. Maybe one day, but too late for me.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe!

Riptides has been having too much fun splitting wood.
and that Fendt pulling that big rig is a high end tractor for sure.
Pretty sure Fendt is considered Mercedes of tractors in EU.

back went pop yesterday and I'm not doing well, taking some bufferin and need to cool it today.
I'm sure my CT scan on Thursday will show a battlefield in my lower back. Multiple herniated discs, blockage, all stuff
I already know but I've been holding off as long as possible. the bone spurs inside my hip ball and socket are a new issue
think I need a bunch of parts
but unless Thomas was at at the parts store,
don't think I'd go... ;)

Good Morning
It’s 59° and partly sunny, might make it to 70.

Yesterday, I did get the Progressive mower serviced, it’s a pretty time consuming task. It’s got 5 driveshafts with 10 u-joints, 9 spindles, 4 gearboxes, and 12 tires. I pulled all the drive shafts and slid them apart to clean and lube them. Everything else was just standard lubrication.

Needle scaling the garage drain revealed that it was pretty far gone. I made a CAD drawing to plasma cutter a new one in stainless steel, and decided to 3D print one in ABS to see how it would hold up.

Spent some more time planning the ERV installation, weighing my options. It’s complicated by not using the heat pump or air handler in the winter when the radiant floor heat is in use, so I’m leaning towards a stand alone system.

Off to Martha’s Vineyard this am, hopefully move manure this afternoon.

Morning all, 62 going to 75 and cloudy.
The Jeep battery only showed 7 v when I disconnected. So I went and got a new battery and now the Jeep starts fine.
Whoever thought to put the battery under the front electric seat. Had to connect my tractor to get power to move the seat back/forward to get to the battery connectors and hold down plate.

Congrats Arly, hope this works out really well for you.

Sorry to hear Drew- hope this can all be taken care of without too much hospital time

Be well,
Old battery lasted 14 years! Hope the new one lasts that long. Guy at NAPA could not believe it.

Battery to run the power seat, under the power seat.....Lots of wire under there and some kind of control box attached to seat, so had to be careful not to shred the harnesses. All turned out fine. Boy is that battery heavy

interesting that agm battery was labeled exact fit, sure was

I've never had batteries last that long though battery on my Kubota tractor
lasted a long time and an older JD battery with individual caps lasted over ten years.
just have to make sure you don't run them dry. AGM is usually maintenance free.
and now we have all solid state batteries coming, the next step beyond lithium.

I knew when I heard the pop in my back this was going to be unpleasant.
not the first time. Thankfully lawn is mowed and garden watered so I can chill out.
I used to have a back belt, need to hunt through drawers, where did I store it?
might need to get another one.
