Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.9C and it's presently 15.2C, overcast, windy with some showers at the moment. There was 1.2mm in the gauge @0900.

Pretty much a steady day yesterday. Before attending the Parrish Council meeting I stopped off at the PO... sure enough the 'Wine Faeries' had visited. A good meeting and I was home just after 1815.

The only thing that I may/should get at is to give the woodheater flue a good whacking & creosote cleaning.

That's about it, take care all.

Went to the fall orientation at the adventure farm and start hauling people next week.
Don, have all of the missing from the flood been accounted for? It's sad that the international 'media cycle' simply moved on after a week...

Good evening all. 68ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind, afternoon buildups, and high temp was 94ºF, HI 98ºF. made coffee to start day, oatmeal for breakfast, bike ride, mow back yard, found 3 balls. After lunch finished trimming bush, found 3 more balls. Nap, BBQ brats and chicken thighs. Slightly above average temps, possible rain Friday through Monday.

Coffee has been poured. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with lots of sunshine. Dr. appointment for staples removal went good. Except one of the 4 stapes was missing. Injury feels much better today. After that came home and picked up gas and diesel cans. Diesel here is still $3.59 a gallon. May get up in attic to see what is causing low air flow. What grass is growing also needs cutting.
Getting at suet from the bottom seems to be the way.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning tbn folks. A balmy 64 this am and a cook'n 84 predicted high today, but this will be the last of the heat wave. When the lake get warm, lake effect will increases this winter. I did get my trailer out of the trees to hopefully dry some. Spent 2.5 hours at the ford shop yesterday getting the ranger serviced. At this point, seems that we did purchase a camp yesterday.

Good morning, the low is 48 and going up to 75°F. Wind E 3 mph. Sunny!

I think I will grease the tractor and BH today. That will be all that I do.

Interesting video with the Fendt. If it had enough traction it could probably pull a seeder behind the plow and packer.

Have a safe day all

64 and welcome rain, although this is my wife's yoga day here, and I usually take Della to the mountains, since I need to leave the house. May change that plan due to the 30 mph gusty winds expected. Wet widowmakers and high wind don't mix well.

Mowed for 3 hours yesterday and did some brush removal yesterday...too dry for mowing, but needed to get a section complete before the rain.

Public road to it? If private, what easements in place and who maintains?

Good morning TBN!!
56 going to upper 70s..maybe hit 80 with sun and clouds. Slight chance for a shower this afternoon.

Spent the day tearing the garage apart for a major reorganization. Looks much worse then when I started. Need to reclaim floor space in general. Had a 6 or 7 foot desk sitting to a 4' desk. Emptied the big desk to get rid of it. Hate to as it is a nice desk, but floor space is more important.
Spent all day on that project and probably a few more to come.
If anybody wants a decent free desk let me know. Soon though as it has to go :)
That is on the agenda again to day but now...

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

63 outside right now, heading to 70. Weather apps say rain is in the vicinity. We are not in the vicinity.

Split some more rounds, ran out of room to store splits, so took about 50 pieces to the burn piles. Wood splitter and I ran out of gas and we think we have in excess of seven cords stacked and ready to go. Asked neighbor if he wanted them, he has a pile to be split across the road. We are full of wood, so I expect a truly mild winter. /s

Wife made the call, for the burn pile and promptly got the tractor out to help.

Congrats on the camp @ArlyA. Best of luck with the new property.

Not much on the agenda today, I do need some time at the bank for the DMV. Hunting down required paperwork for a new RealID. Wish the states would get their acts together and accept other additional forms of Government ID. Maybe one day, but too late for me.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe!

Riptides has been having too much fun splitting wood.
and that Fendt pulling that big rig is a high end tractor for sure.
Pretty sure Fendt is considered Mercedes of tractors in EU.

back went pop yesterday and I'm not doing well, taking some bufferin and need to cool it today.
I'm sure my CT scan on Thursday will show a battlefield in my lower back. Multiple herniated discs, blockage, all stuff
I already know but I've been holding off as long as possible. the bone spurs inside my hip ball and socket are a new issue
think I need a bunch of parts
but unless Thomas was at at the parts store,
don't think I'd go... ;)

Good Morning
It’s 59° and partly sunny, might make it to 70.

Yesterday, I did get the Progressive mower serviced, it’s a pretty time consuming task. It’s got 5 driveshafts with 10 u-joints, 9 spindles, 4 gearboxes, and 12 tires. I pulled all the drive shafts and slid them apart to clean and lube them. Everything else was just standard lubrication.

Needle scaling the garage drain revealed that it was pretty far gone. I made a CAD drawing to plasma cutter a new one in stainless steel, and decided to 3D print one in ABS to see how it would hold up.

Spent some more time planning the ERV installation, weighing my options. It’s complicated by not using the heat pump or air handler in the winter when the radiant floor heat is in use, so I’m leaning towards a stand alone system.

Off to Martha’s Vineyard this am, hopefully move manure this afternoon.

Morning all, 62 going to 75 and cloudy.
The Jeep battery only showed 7 v when I disconnected. So I went and got a new battery and now the Jeep starts fine.
Whoever thought to put the battery under the front electric seat. Had to connect my tractor to get power to move the seat back/forward to get to the battery connectors and hold down plate.

Congrats Arly, hope this works out really well for you.

Sorry to hear Drew- hope this can all be taken care of without too much hospital time

Be well,
Old battery lasted 14 years! Hope the new one lasts that long. Guy at NAPA could not believe it.

Battery to run the power seat, under the power seat.....Lots of wire under there and some kind of control box attached to seat, so had to be careful not to shred the harnesses. All turned out fine. Boy is that battery heavy

interesting that agm battery was labeled exact fit, sure was

I've never had batteries last that long though battery on my Kubota tractor
lasted a long time and an older JD battery with individual caps lasted over ten years.
just have to make sure you don't run them dry. AGM is usually maintenance free.
and now we have all solid state batteries coming, the next step beyond lithium.

I knew when I heard the pop in my back this was going to be unpleasant.
not the first time. Thankfully lawn is mowed and garden watered so I can chill out.
I used to have a back belt, need to hunt through drawers, where did I store it?
might need to get another one.
