Tad over 2 hours at the ER this morning. Time well spent. CT Scan and urinalysis indicate I passed a kidney stone. Antibiotics and a pain med.
Had a stone removed in Sydney, Aus while on R&R in 1968, surgeon said I’d get another, likely in 20 years. Has been 56 so can’t complain. Ok, I could, but that would be a different take.

Good evening all. 43ºF for the start, clear with steam fog on lake, near calm wind. Light wind, clear sky, and high temp was 71ºF. Made coffee to start day, Prepped boat for launch by removing cover (in the dark :( ),hooked trailer to truck, put motor prop on, add accessories like life jackets, cooler with water Gatorade and energy bars. Only 2.5 to launch ramp,I was part of the clean up the lake effort, overall got half a 30 cubic yard dumpster filled. Lunch was provided, then checked the bunks while boat was off, they need replacing. Recovered the boat, then after parking it, got a 30 mile bike ride in, nice sunny, light wind, and nice temps. No nap then dinner. Need to pull and service trolling motor batteries not holding charge well.

good morning all
31 out now going to 60 today with a projected quarter inch of rain tonight.
been a long time since we've seen any rain here, just very unusual for us.

spent some time cleaning up golf cart yesterday, pleased that a TBN member wants it
and will get a nice machine. When something is really nice you don't mind selling it to a friend.

Buppies, hope you got back to sleep. Sounds like a pinched nerve.

Bill, that new law, based on those states (including locally NJ and NY) adopted California's level of emission regs and means
they can't sell in that state, because they aren't selling one out of three as EV's,
but doesn't mean you can't drive in that State.
I find it hard to believe this ruling will stand.
There is no infrastructure or reality to support this law so it's stupid.

I can see holding diesel motorhomes to same emission standards as big trucks. But to overlay a set of manufacturing requirements
on top that no one, literally no one can meet, again, this is stupid.
California doesn't like rv industry anyway, we burn a lot of fuel...and there aren't that many convenient campgrounds in California.
plus cost of fuel is 50-100 percent more than surrounding states.

up early, slept well, going to make myself some bacon and eggs for breakfast.
last nights stuffed peppers were yummy, looks overcooked but not. Pepper was pure sweetness.
I wish I had a little crumbled bacon last night I could have put in peppers for more flavor. Meat loaf mix plus lots of
spices, and a bag of four variety Mexican cheese.
Most of the bacon I cook is used in flavoring something else. Sure learned that in NC...little bit of piggy in many things.

hope you all have a good day

speaking of rv's I saw something very rare this week at rv repair shop.
An all aluminum riveted travel trailer, triple axle no less, looked about 35 feet, of
an Airstream clone. I'm guessing about 20 years old. Built by Fleetwood, known for large diesel motorhomes.
since I've only seen one, guess it didn't catch on.

Poured first cup of coffee. 48° with light rain this morning. Heading to 59° with rain. Did some adjustment to rearview mirror and sun visor on Mule. That should stop me from bumping them out of location every time I get in and out of Mule seat. Frost did it's job on leaves falling from front maple trees. So I mowed the grass and blew all the leaves into the woods. Then changed oil and filter on JD mower. Today will take mower tractor over to neighbors to change transmission oil. Then watch last NASCAR race of the year.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 34 and going to a high of 46°F. Wind SSE 7 mph. 40% chance of showers.

My new boots/sneakers are breaking in easily. Put on a pair of heavy socks and wore them (the boots) for about 4 hours yesterday. Will do the same today.

I'm not doing anything today other than breaking in the boots.

Have a safe day all

Morning all!
Currently 26 out there! Brrrrrrrr.
New furnace is humming along nicely.
Snow blower hook up was uneventful. Except for being heavy as heck I have the swap down to about a half hour now. Used to take me all morning! I guess doing it for the last 10 or so years has made it easier.
Yesterday and today will be putter jobs. Need to sweep out the shop and maintain the machinery.
Did spend some time making more ornaments for gifts. One out of padauk and maple. Also one out of cherry burl and Mexican royal ebony. Will be making more of the cherry one.
Sister visit today for coffee. Not sure what else after that.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

37 going to 63.

Sodamo, hope your problem is now solved and you'll be feeling better.

Wag, never heard of an echidna, so looked it up. Looks like a little porcupine.

Buppies, bad news about your leg...Hope it's better when you get up this morning.

Rip, terrible about your neighbor. Like some of you, I have to cross the road to get mail. Usually, it's quiet enough to hear anything coming, and I have good sight distance, but always stand back several yards when traffic present.

We laid my mom to rest yesterday, next to my dad, 2 of my sisters and many other family. A beautiful day and friends and family again, including some that couldn't make it to visitation. One lady, a couple of years older than me, who had lived nearby in that small town came up and said, "I bet you don't remember me." I said "Sure I do, I had a big crush on you when we were youngsters." She blushed like a little girl and said I had made her day.

Good Morning,
Punta Cana, 78 to start going to 84 ! The weather app I have was calling for rain yesterday and the weather was great until last night when we had a severe thunderstorm! The same thing today, app says rain but as I look out our windows it looks very nice !

Hope to get a walk in around the complex, at least two laps and then a nice breakfast!

Bill, I’m with you on the boot break in process!

Hope all have a pleasant Sunday ! Sounds like we may get some rain back home which is badly needed ! 🙏

m7040, I get 12k steps about 4 times a month. My average steps per day are 6.3k. Steps do not tell the whole story. I average almost 40 minutes of exercise. I collect most of my steps collecting tools, parts, and lost items while doing projects. During the winter I use my Schwinn Recumbent Bike to get exercise. It does not record data to my iPhone. So numbers get averaged lower for the year.
Keep on moving! Us Quardragenarians will make it to be Nonagenarian and Centenarians. 😎🤠

My understanding is if trees from neighboring falls on you, it’s up to you. Maybe different there.
Not sure how the laws reads, but the unwritten law around these parts if tree trunk still connected on the landowners property it's up them to clean it up.

Good morning! 54˚F, NW wind, skies clearing temps rising to the low 80s.

Successful trip to the Costco Toyota dealership in Austin. Only took an hour to get to with stop and go traffic on I35. Right off the bat they offered a $5,000 Costco discount and gave me 2K more for the trade-in than the other dealership offered sight unseen. But most importantly they had the RAV4 with the packages I was looking for. The top one being cooling seats, or as they call them ventilated seats. I went with the all gasoline model (the Texas gasoline is not California priced). I'm betting the resale price will stay stable with no drop-off when the battery time/miles warranty is close to expiring. The hybrid Prius I had was a good car but after the warranty on the battery expires and they wear out, all the money saved on gasoline is ate up by battery replacement or lower trade in value (plus a higher cost to begin with). The prime would be nice but the gasoline money is spent up front on the increased price. The SUV is much easier to get in and out of with my replaced knees. The sale was no hassle, no back and forth trips to the sales managers just a pleasant buying experience. Should get it mid week when KIA is repaired and we can do the switch.

Good morning TBN!!!
45 going to low 60s with rain later.
I agree Ronj. I got 15,147 steps yesterday. My phone also collects floors. calc by eleveation changes. 55 floors yesterday! needless to say my day consisted of walk, work rest, repeat. In that order. I can't wear my do dog out!
Started my day out with walking and then worked on the 4x4. Turns out you can just remove the switch on this model and it works fine. Rode it around and noticed some oil leakage. Turned out the case had a couple of bolts that needed a little tightening. Got that fixed ran the dog on it for a little bit and then rested :)
Next I turned my attention to the widow maker I created Thought maybe I could get a chain around the stump and pull it out from ender it. At one point I had the tractor almost on it's hind legs but still no go but it loosened. Dug around the roots a little more and the backed up the trail and hooked to 3PH with large chain. Then started to pull again. Success! Drug it out of the way and got the smaller one out too. I hate chainsawin' :) All while about 3 from the edge of the trail that falls off big time. I have already had my TC leaning at a 45 against a tree on that trail. Butt puckerin' to say the least!! Then I rested.
Dried up enough to clear the ditch and drive. Hopefully almost done with them.
Then rested. Rest breaks were getting longer and longer. Took the dog on another run then parked across the river to go get the mail and walk him round the pond next door. Back and rested again. Saw the wife off to a house warming she went to and called it a day!!

Today might not be much more then rest and football!! Panthers are in Germany so their game starts at 9;30 this morning.

Have a great and safe day!!!

Wags, sounds like a rare sighting. Stuff like that only comes out at night around here. We don't have echidnas here.
