Good Morning,
Vt, 60 to start going to 71 ! Last warm day by the looks of the forecast !

Ron, great picture this morning, last night Kathleen and I sat out on the front porch and watched as some finches flew into the ferns and bedded down for the night ! Fun to watch !

Hope your BD was a good one Dennis, but $12 bucks for a piece of cake ! 😳
But I’m sure it was good !

Haven’t heard RS or Plowhog in awhile! Hope all is well !

Thomas, Boo is definitely doing his job ! 😉 Great story, I can just see the expression on the assessors face ! 😂

Today is the last day up here, heading back on Thursday! So plan on wrapping up a few odd and end jobs today along with cleaning up the wood shop !

Paul, you wouldn’t get away with chucking a mill if the plates were steel ! 😉 But the plastic is quite doable ! Nice job BTW !

Hope all have a pleasant Wednesday! 🙏

Good Morning David,
Your probably the only one on GM that gets to mow year round! I had to add one more post because I didn’t like my post count at 6,666 ! 😉 Superstitious I guess ! 😀

Morning all, 48 going to 81 and sunny, dry, leafy :)

Got some more watering done and took the dog to get her nails trimmed.
Talk about squirmy, seems like one of the few things she freaks out about.

Buppies, prayers to you with all the recent issues, I hope that things get better. I hope you did have some time to enjoy your birthday and can get your wife to a better place.

Lou, I yelled at my local garage about them over-tightening lugs, they apologized. I guess no one else around here ever tries to get tires off?

Layoffs at my job, we found out more about them from the CIO yesterday, they are still 2 levels above me with decisions, so I spent yesterday updating, the what is my job and process docs, for my boss. Advertising is down across the USA, from cars to food, same in UK and Germany. Only up in India and South America right now.

LS - 3 years and bureaucracy, getting past that sounds like a call to celebrate!

I have to go set up the outdoor movie screen and the 3d affects for this weekend. Halloween is almost here. No trick or treaters here, except neighbor kids.

Be well,

Buckeye, my 2004 Gulfstream Endura Diesel sold for $102k when new. I bought it in 2006 for $75k with 7,000 miles. Kept it for 11 years. Drove it over 100k miles. Averaged 10.2 mpg. It’s same manufacturer as Drew’s motorhome. Never had problems like he has had. Sold it for little over $40k. Today to replace with a similar model would be over $200k. I see similar Endura’s for sale on FB for $50k to $60k. Good luck finding an affordable RV in today’s economy.
Thanks, have seen a few low mileage ones in $70k range. Looking for under 30 ft. Prices comes down as age and mileage goes up.

Good morning TBN
50 going to 80 today with wall to wall sunshine.
Spent the day working on my compressor yesterday. Got the regulator replaced and rewired. I have to track down a couple of slow leaks and see why the pressure release is popping off at 100 lb PSI but it is running again! I'll work on that and then see what the rest of the day presents :)
Have a great and safe day!!!

woke up for the 3 am bathroom break, and then felt a little sick in the stomach, especially laying down. so came down to the lazyboy and read for a few hours before falling asleep in the chair. When I woke up around 10 I went back to bed for awhile but no more sleep.
Have a headache, but don't feel sick.
Not much will get done today. Pretty day outside and 73 deg.

69°F and .11 inches rain.

Off to Kona side this morning for a Costco run. The boys need food.

Got blood tests back, cholesterol looking pretty good. Surprised no A1C results. BP meds on the way.

Made great progress on information for my VA appeal. Almost ready to submit.

Suspect this won’t be a cheap Costco run. Have heard Sophie remark more than once about growing list

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

yikes
they are 45 bucks a piece vs 10. NGK is 27
ok, that really makes me want to identify one possibly bad coil pack and just replace that with an oem one.
thanks

yes, those shrink wrapped Chinese coil pack sets do not give off a feeling of quality.
I wonder who makes Ford's? Some Motorcraft supplier?
NGK at rock auto were around $50 each. I would not trust amazon $10 ones...

safe and sound in Winchester VA.
nice drive up, lots of traffic but smooth roads up and down long hills, pretty countryside. Virginia is a pretty state. Lot of money here due to DC.

killed some time at museum here in town. Apparently the plantation of a long time local family held slaves til the very last legal moment. Couple of gens later the inheritor in the family wanted to set the record straight. After building, with his gay partner, an utterly enormous home on this estate he went on a collecting binge and made his own museum, and left it to locals in his estate. I took a lot of pics inside, art by Charley Parker intrigued me enough I bought a coffee mug with his art on the side.
Almost all about nature and birds on serigraph.

another room with collection of miniature houses that appears pretty special.
and rooms of high end 18th century furniture

some interesting historical stuff about local black slave families and what life was like here hundreds of years ago. This was clearly an intentional unearthing/expose of actual history, not something made up. I was a black studies minor in college and found it fascinating. And they are very clear to speak of people who were enslaved, not slaves inherently

in site number 1 right by office in Cherry Hill campground. Sat in town's parking lot at this livestock exchange for ten minutes waiting so I wouldn't get there too early.
place is immaculate and has the best stocked store I've seen. But very precise and controlling folks who absolutely came over to check me out. And huge motorhomes and fifth wheels came in, this is like the lake boat ramp out front. I may go out in chair and read my book and be entertained.

I ordered ten NGK spark plugs and one $35 Motorcraft (took your advice Ted) coil.
Highly likely only one bad coil if any. More likely a vacuum leak. Whistling, chirping, tapping, under load a real noisemaker. But it will get me home. And then the truck place will be handed the parts and will fix it. I have to get everything out first and that will take a week. Plus I have to buy some rv antifreeze from Walmart.

I like the way Rock Auto puts right on the bill what vehicle it's going in.
Also bought a locking gas cap. Thought that might come in handy, plus it works without locking. I'm thinking of parking it someplace other than home asap
and think a little fuel tank protection makes sense.
13 bucks shipping is the upcharge vs Amazon.
I know if I have a problem with a part from Rock Auto, I can call up and speak to
someone knowledgeable and fluent in my favorite language.

Good early afternoon!!!! 83F @ 1:00PM. Partly cloudy. High 83F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

I wonder if there's even such a thing as a physical exam these days. Last week was my first visit with a new family doctor, and it was all verbal. No tapping knees with the rubber hammer, no turn your head and cough, no prodding under the chin or stomach, no stick out your tongue and say ah, no sticking a light in your ears and nose. Wasn't even going to order blood work until I asked for it prior to the meet. It felt more like ordering in an a la carte restaurant, with me doing most of the ordering. Maybe I need a new doctor. Already?!?

AD
That's gotta be a great feeling, Ted. Congratulations!!!

Not sure I'd let the assessor make Boo my problem, Thomas. After all, you're just as much Boo's guest as the assessor would be. 🤣 And since the assessor sees Boo as a problem, make sure to mention that to the assessor and tell them you expect a drastic devaluation of your property tax bill.

This morning I saw a Facebook ad for a 10 pack sampler of flapper wheels from Benchmark Abrasives, whose products I've been very pleased with. Entered the coupon code at checkout, placed the order, and the discount wasn't applied. Emailed to ask why, and was told I'd already used that discount code, three years ago! There was no mention of that limitation in the ad, and I wouldn't have remembered using it anyway. Most of all, though, the website shouldn't have allowed me to place the order to begin with. I wrote back and asked them to cancel the order, which they agreed to do, with a refund showing up in a week to ten days. Will probably stick to Amazon Prime for any future orders, but 10 discs for $10 shipping was just too good an offer to pass up.

Pretty much packed and ready to head out tomorrow morning. Feeling too lazy to do much of anything this afternoon, so may just take a nap and call it good...

Good evening. Road trips these past few days. Yesterday was 8 hours on the road. Sigh. Running out of space in the farm houses for all the furniture that did not sell. Good thing is it is quality high priced stuff. Do not need it so when wife comes back....sales start again.
Found two old shotguns...single barrel...100 dollar types...one SIL threaten to take them the cops. LOL. Yeah....
It is nut ville now...with more nuts coming this weekend.
Looks like the interest in the house is serious...as a realtor showed up. Even mentioned stuff can stay...good for us.
I will be glad when this is over...still dealing with my Dads place too.
No serious money offers in the cars.
Gave some boats away for free. Tire 100.00 boat free. Still have a 22 foot cabin cruiser on blocks we are trying to get rid of.
What an adventure.

Good Afternoon Drew,
Really enjoyed looking at the old vintage chairs ! Some interesting designs there ! Thanks ! 🙏
I thought it was interesting they compared the chair styles in a row. The end cap was all about chair feet. My oldest and closest friend is an antiques dealer who focuses on exactly this period 18th Century furniture and arts. I would have loved to walk the exhibit with him. I simply prefer more modern furniture and have never been able to support his business. Which might be declining, not sure millennials or Gen somethings buy this

46 going to 79.

Congrats, LS, on your victory!

Well, didn't go vote yesterday. Got a text from my mom that the hospital/doctor wanted to have a meeting with family to discuss her situation. So, we left for Virginia Beach. Great doctor, very thorough and caring and rated as top cardiologist in charge...he confirmed that Thursday's initial issue was a heart attack, and that a stent was risky right now, so she'll be heading to rehab, then to home to get stronger. Recheck in 2 weeks and make final decision but stent unlikely...just medicine.

Will go vote today, and split some wood and go for a hike.
Special thoughts prayers for you mom.
