Good morning!!!!

Good Morning. It's 74° and humid. Forecasts indicate we'll see 94° this afternoon. So far ..... TS Imelda has avoided us. It misted a couple of times yesterday but ..... no real rain so far. Looks like the rain will all be way east of us.

I took the Kubota ZT out to horse pasture to mow under some of the big oaks where the tractors couldn't get to.

David ... I'm watching your prospective back hoe project with great interest. The LS LB2105 would be correct size for both of us, I believe. I'm assuming you would convert the 8' Betsco to a subframe mount?

Ron .... great story and picture. Thanks for sharing.

BEF ... great news on your seat time! That a huge step.

Thomas ..... single digit slow rolls left?

LS .... any news on your knee replacement?

Hoping for a great Hump Day for everyone.

Prayers for all.

65°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 90° today.

Congrats on getting back into the tractor seat, BEF.

Looking forward to seeing how your backhoe plan comes together, David. On an unrelated note, Wife got a text from the electrician who rewired our house a few years ago. He and his wife sold their place here and moved to Maui. He told her they have a spare bedroom, in case we decide to come and visit. I pulled up your MakanaMaiKaLani website and showed her your offerings, and said while his place looks nice I'd rather stay at one of those three options. She liked what she saw. We rarely take big vacations, but she actually said maybe we should take a trip to Hawaii.
Chipping away.

Good Morning everyone!!!!!!

A hazy 40ºF for today’s low temperature; 55ºF with mixed clouds and sun presently, and I anticipate similar conditions with today’s high ~60ºF degrees. A possibility of frost tomorrow. I am loving these temperatures; this weekend the weather will become more summer-like.

I survived the prep for yesterday’s “daily double”. At the hospital it took 15 minutes to finally find a vein that could handle the IV. :(. I was wheeled into the operating room for the procedure; cracked a joke to my Dr. that we have to stop meeting like this, and the lights went out. A couple of polyps were removed for biopsy as well as the pre-cancerous cells in my esophagus. Bottomside looked ok; topside will be further evaluated. I got home and was passing blood; still passing blood this morning. This is not uncommon. Dr. contacted.

Eric- After 10 years working as a psychologist is a secure, female admissions psych unit I know who the tougher gender is. Sarah Thomas proves it. Thanks for sharing.

DABSGT- I think my serious dieting plan has begun (again) since the “Procedure.”

David- Congratulations on the BH; good luck with the newest project, and I am looking forward to your next drone flight and pictures. I have not flown the “Flying Cuisinart” in over a year. It’s become a hangar queen. I was never able to match a workable camera/videocam vibration suppressing gimbal to my homemade drone. :(

BEF- Awesome motorized wheelchair. I am happy to see your pics, read about your progress and spousal partner in crime.

I loved all the family pictures and shared family history.

Check- Thanks for sharing your project pictures. The trees are starting to change here as well.

The skillsets exhibited here on GM is awesome impressive.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day; those mending and healing continue to do so; and the rest stay healthy.

My + thoughts and prayers.

Hi folks, hope everyone is having a good night. I’m still not sleeping well past about 3am, I love the new adjustable bed but it’s not a magic bullet. Cooked my meatloaf and black beans with corn and peppers, and some mashed potatoes. Didn’t accomplish much else.

Here is my contribution. My dad, mom, two brothers and I’m the little one. Probably 1955.

Your oldest brother was "posing". Lol

Eric, that swimmer could show the Navy Seals how it's done. Wonder if the Navy is going to impose new requirements for the seals....

Ron, good story about Betty. Be glad you had a job, car etc...

Nothing but mist here in College station too Rick.

Don, I've seen pace makers work great in 2 people close to me. By keeping the heartbeat up, it keeps the brain supplied with blood much better. Cognitive skills are improved IMO.

Australian hiker rescued after crawling with broken leg for two days - CNN

Wingsprd, I thought of you on this, would Coco know how to run home and get someone if you fell
and couldn't move? I think we rely a lot on our cell phones to work.

Same issue for Larro. He goes on walkabouts.

Just yesterday, search and rescue units found a lost hiker in Upper Bidwell Park, on the east side of Chico, CA, that was lost overnight. He was OK, and managed to get a call off to his roommate as darkness fell at the end of the first day. Then his phone battery died. I'm thinking that one of those recharger packs might be a good idea to take along on those walk about trips, along with a space blanket, fire starter, sturdy knife, and water purifying straw, just in case. Or one of these, that provide solar powered light and phone charging...

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 8:00AM. Cloudy this morning. Scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. High 73F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Another front passed through here earlier this morning, dropping only 0.04" of rain, barely enough to keep the dust down. This afternoon might prove interesting if the thunderclouds actually do materialize.

Finished cleaning and assembling the heads for the red bike yesterday, then got them and pistons/barrels installed. With a little luck the exhaust headers and carbs will go back on today, and I'll see if it'll start.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

Good morning! 71˚F The rain will say east of us heading to the low 90s cloudy.
Hiking club meeting today.
At Mom's Dr. appt. yesterday he recommended a pacemaker, so I must now do some research and find info so she can make decision. All my mom knows to do is ask people that have had one put in, she knows one other person. Of course the experience of another person does not mean you will have the same outcome as she found out on her knee and hip.

Buckeye congratulations on another milestone, the big one!

Check the finish line is in sight! It's nice to look at a good job and think "I did that" as years go by.

When we found that my Mom needed a pace maker she had become unable to stay awake, so my sister & I took her to the doc. Her doc was out of town and some young guy was filling ink and when he found out Mom was a smoker he went on a tirade about her quitting and didn't even listen to her heart. She was 77 and had smoked most of her life and wasn't going to quit. We left there and took her down the street to my doc and he said that she needed a pace maker and set us up with a doc in Denver. She did not want to do it but my sister and I pushed her into it and she never forgave us.
This was about the time several of my older siblings were starting to have heart problems and my oldest brother had already died from it.Mom blamed my sis and I for keeping her alive and making her watch her kids die.About 10 years she gave up and willed herself to die before any more of her kids did.

In retrospect, I think she was right from the beginning, the only thing harder than losing your parents or spouse is losing a child. Of course every case *** every person is different.
