Happy Birthday BEF! Hope you have a blessed day and get a huge piece of cake.....my wifey is making toll house cookies right now with Ghiradelli chocolate chips. Oh my!!!
Drew, there are numerous reports of the aftermarket coil packs being seriously cheaply made and failing quickly. The NGK brand isn't any better. The only recommendation is to stick with Ford...
NGK is the best IMO. If real NGK and not counterfeit, best product in it's class.yikes
they are 45 bucks a piece vs 10. NGK is 27
ok, that really makes me want to identify one possibly bad coil pack and just replace that with an oem one.
thanks
yes, those shrink wrapped Chinese coil pack sets do not give off a feeling of quality.
I wonder who makes Ford's? Some Motorcraft supplier?
YAY! I'm figuring it is your retirement/disability situation?Well, it's now a done deal.... fighting with the bureaucracy is finally over with!
Took 3 years and a lot of aggravation, but now everything is corrected. Now it should be a lot simpler to organize our finances.
All I have to say is WHEW! Now our full retirement plans can come to fruition
Hope the rain is greening things up.
I will probably be gone from this world by the time my kids realize this fact.My son had a local shop replace 1 coil pack for $150 or more. When he had issue with another I ordered from rock auto, and showed him how easy it was to change. They were never interested in learning auto stuff until they had to pay.
David, do you have to mow all year long there? Do you get any kind of reprieve?
Billy, taking your wifey and Della to the top of the mountain sounds like a fairy tell story.
Drew, oh to be back home. Hope the leaf pile is manageable, car starts, and neighbor is better.
Many stating problems here in Texas (2 personal friends in different counties) of them voting one way, then the machine changes it to a different candidate. They said to double check your picks, before you hit accept and print your ballet.
Anyone still have any vinyl singles?
Many years ago, I bought a nice sound card for my PC that had the rca jacks for left and right. It worked decent, but still I'm not an **** vinyl snob. I love CD's. Wow and fluttern are not my thing. Even though I had a Shure V15 type IV stylus and cartridge, most all my records sounded like rice crispies...snap, crackle and pop. My brother would offer to make high quality cassettes on his system, if people bought the album and gave it to him. One time, A friend brought over the new hot album Aerosmith Rocks. They got the first side recorded, then forgot to flip the record over and proceeded to again record the first side on the tape's B side. All those hits we didn't recognize yet to notice we were listening to the same side... LOL. They would usually get a top quality tape for the price of the LP. (Tapes were usually a tad higher than vinyl back then). He had an Akai cassette, and an Akai reel to reel.
My daughter when she was maybe 4 or 5, broke my phono's needle using it as a merry go round with her toy animals.... I bought a cheaper Shure, and parked it in my safe, for when and if I want to play a record.
