Yea, it's dropped a degree. 106˚ at 6:06pm. Just finished fixing a leak at the garden by replacing an "O" ring in the water filter. Apparently last week when I cleaned out the algae I also disposed of the o - ring. Good thing I was able to find one at Ace Hardware for only 99 cents.

We took little Hospice to the vet for a kitty check-up. He weighs 8.41 pounds. He has been twitching and scratching his ears and the vet found and treated the ear infection, looks like he is starting to improve already.

My Ryobi electric pressure washer stopped working after I cleaned the trailers so I pick up another at Home Depot. I hope this one last more than 4 years.

Happy Anniversary PopG.

David, glad the fires did not affect you.

We had a strange accident in Bastrop County about 40 miles from here. 3 people and a dog from Florida died in a septic tank in the middle of a corn field while hog hunting. It took 18 hours to remove the bodies because of unsafe conditions.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.9C and it's presently 14.1C, partly cloudy and calm.

Yesterday's morning overcast condition changed to a clear day/night and the temperature surprisingly & briefly reached 22.1C (74F). It was a lovely day to chain-harrow & mulch Paddock #3... especially as it was calm so little to no manure dust on me. YAY!

Evening meal/meeting went very well. Our guest speaker was the Shire's Mayor and was very informative. Home by 2140.

I'm expecting a courier delivery sometime today and will probably continue to attack the downed wattle tree 3D puzzle.

That's about it, take care all.

Good Morning everyone!
60, going up to 80. We got some rain here, but only .2 inch. Daughter 25 miles south got 2 inches!

Work is coming along well on the shop build. Finished up the walls yesterday. Will get the electric done on the last/north wall (a few more outlets, for A/C and door openers), next. I got a quote for two good roll-up doors, with high lift tracks, windows and shaft drive openers - $8,200. Yikes! I said okay, since I don't want to try installing the "high lift" ones. Except for the insulation, I've done all the rest of the work myself (with a bit of help putting up the ceiling trusses, and windows from the SIL).

What kind of lights did you use? Are you happy with them?

Those are CORDLESS DRILLS!

Model One Mark Zero Cordless Drills 🤣😂🤣
Armstrong brand cordless drills!

Also spent time setting up internet connectivity with Xfinity (Comcast), and got talked into bundling in my cell phone. Supposed to be a gigabit connection, "unlimited" data on both phone and home, all for $62/month for 24 months. We'll see. That price worries me, as it seems too good to be true, especially when Starlink is charging twice that just for fairly slow internet.
Congrats on the home purchase! Hope all goes smooth as possible. I don't like signing contracts for long periods.

Happy B'lated Anniversary to PopG and wifey!

Today was productive. We put a bunch of PVC together to make a drain manifold. It almost looks like a Menorah. Had my student worker design a stanchion to support the strain at both ends. Working great. Still more to do in that lab.

One of my student helpers is graduating Saturday, which means he can't work for me anymore. Smart as a whip, but bit off too much and his grades suffered just enough, to where he wouldn't probably be accepted for higher ed. He's going to try and join the Space Force. He was in the Corp of Cadets, so he's used to all the military style of life, and he would go in as a commissioned 1st lieutenant. He missed this summer's hiring process, so he'll have to apply next summer. I will miss him. He plays bass in the church band. He played trumpet in the Cadet marching band.

Prayers for those dealing with fires. Still see people throw out cigarette ends....Prayers for our team, country and Ukraine. Also for rain down here.

Poured first cup of hot coffee. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with afternoon/evening thunderstorms. Grocery shopping and stop at Menards went well. Mowed grass yesterday in between rain showers. Two tries got it done. Off to gas station this morning to get diesel before price goes up again. $3.55 gallon. Have some small trim cleanup and caulking to get done on Chicken Coop. Will see if weather cooperates.
My favorite view of Moon.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

61.2 F going to mid 80s, supposedly dry most of the day.

I hope Mr. & Mrs. Popgadget had an enjoyable day!

Did our admin stuff in the rain, it cleared up nicely and I power washed all the hive parts and six outdoor chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the druggie cars drive in and out.

Today is Mrs’ birthday, have to dig out the present I got her a couple months back 😁.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

/ Good morning!!!! #174,897
Good morning! 80˚F before sunrise, it's going to be another scorcher day with high temps 104˚-108˚ degrees. We are under a heat warning advisory and a red flag day since it has not rained in 7 weeks and the humidity will be as low as 22% and a South wind 10-15 with gust up to 30mph.
Happy Birthday to the Mrs., Kilroy!!!

/ Good morning!!!! #174,899
64 outside this AM, heading to upper 80's. Nice fog bank over the pastures this AM. Have the annual inspection for the conservation/easement people this AM. They want to make sure my animals are not in the creek water. I'll probably have to explain those are my neighbors cows. LOL (sort of).

Roofer came by, donuts were good. Price point a little out of my reach at this moment. Guess I will deconstruct the chimney and rebuild a fake one myself, thus saving the roof in the process that is already there. Should be fun. Still waiting on plumber estimate.

It's Friday....just remembered annual physical later. Guess I will go tank up on coffee, sugar and whatnot to give the blood work people something to think about. LOL. Not serious...so far all mental and physical aspects of me are on the gentle downward glidepath. No biggy.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Lets hope for some better news world wide today and going forward. For all of us.

I was in the barn at the time, ripping a flap of skin off the top of my hand, based on a stupid-fast-pivot-move I made while holding onto a battery, which helped smash my hand against the edge of a post.

Ouch.
That is one of the things that I like least about growing old. My skin tears easily, when I was younger it was much tougher. Also I now realize how much protection hair offers to your head, now that it’s all gone. The top of my head and hands look like I have gone many rounds of “advanced interrogation”. I am always sporting wounds that are in various stages of healing. But I’m not complaining, I can still do the stuff that inflicts the wounds, it’s just that I used to do it unscathed.
