61 outside this AM, heading to upper 80's. Rain expected tomorrow.

Played pickup sticks with the wife yesterday. New burn pile started. Need to remind myself not to let it get so big. Managed to be awed by lots of butterflies on the trail with the wife. They were dancing around her like they knew her. Way cool.

Middle of the night pulled a tick off that woke me up. I think it came from the wife as I took a shower. This AM I have a few new bite spots on me. Not sure if it was the tick or not? Do they bite for a taste then settle in? ANyway I am itching and those bites take more than a few days to go away on me.

Sorry to say, I did not hit the mega lottery.....shucks....

Hope all have a great day, Be safe.

Tschüss meine Herren.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

61.1F going to mid 80s, partly to mostly, dry day forecasted.

Too wet to go to woodlot yesterday, we will go up today to finish the dog pen. I need to cut a 40’ piece of 6” corrugated black drain pipe to mount along the inside of the top rail so that Harry cannot climb over the chain link.

Administrative running around yesterday went well, rest of day was relatively low-key.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

It will be a few weeks. There are boxes I have not looked in yet and I'm running out of room. I'll keep you in mind.
What does a floor auger look like that you are envisioning?
Take your time — I am in no rush!

this is a grab off the Internet because I don’t have one:
IMG_2759.jpeg

if you need to bore a hole down near the floor or in a corner, you either needed to rely on the ratchet mechanism of a standard brace (if it had a ratchet, many did not) or one of these. The gearbox let you turn the bit continuously while getting you away from the floor or wall for full rotation.

62° says my phone.
Power still out. Wife woke me saying I think the generator isn’t running. Yep, it won’t run all night. Fridges are 50°/22° upstairs and 45° / 10° down. 10° is the chest freezer, I don’t have monitor in downstairs fridge freezer.
Won’t go mow today.
I got a few mosquito bites sitting on porch last night.

Where does the battery go? 😂

Hmmmm, Drew can trade up and sell you his.

re: trikes
I'm wanting either a trike or a good flat-sidecar/electric bike combo. I frequently need to transport "stuff" between my shops and the house (~100+ yards).
Driving the Ford Escape or my F350 is drastic overkill, dragging a garden cart is getting tiring.

Paul that was big tree down, did you have lunch with the professor?
I actually made it to breakfast. Cut the tree up enough to clear the lane with the grapple on the tractor, then cleaned it all up after breakfast.
It was bigger than it looked, tractor struggled to pick it up, had to cut it first. Lift capacity with the grapple is over a ton.

not sure about availability in the US but these bikes come in many configurations from just cargo or fancier versions and would be able to perhaps do what you wanted.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 4:30AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 92F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Never heard of such a thing as a floor auger, KJC, but I can see how they would be useful. And so would an electric version.

Got a couple coats of wax on the back and driver's side of the van before it got too hot yesterday, so all that's left is the front. Not gonna use the foam cannon on it, as foam goes everywhere. Also got the welds I made on the motorcycle ramp painted, so that job's done.

Only headed into the low 90s today, so might get some tinkering done on a motorcycle, but might just siesta in the afternoon again. I can see that becoming a habit.

Hump Day already?!?

Good Morning, 64 going to 85 today no rain

Making some brackets for the RTV to be able to carry the Makita trimmer without laying across the load bed. Painted them yesterday and looking to cover them with something to not scratch up the trimmer. Perhaps rubber strips from tractor inner tube

Will get the PT done early today. And still more firewood to stack

Watched some overland travel videos going around the world in 3 years. Next segments going across Canada

Good Morning
It’s 69 with a high of 80 forecast under a sunny sky.

Yesterday was tree clearing, then lunch and Costco with the wife. Cleaned up and serviced chainsaws, pushed brush pile back to conclude that adventure. Friend came over that is restoring the 69 Firebird that he had since he was a kid. Helped him make some hardware that secures the T-Tops. New or repop parts are not available, so he will have some nice stainless parts to replace the worn pot metal ones that he has.
Grandson came up to say good night again, I think it’s more to postpone his bedtime than because he really loves his grandparents, but I’ll take it regardless.

Not much planned for today other than mowing, and loading manure into a neighbors dump truck. He said he will take all that we have, which is a nearly full bin at the moment. Airport Authority meeting tonight, so I’ll be occupied all day, but not busy, unless something pops up, which is not uncommon.
