I would get the permit to pull down the tree and get a 200 ft 5/8 inch rope and sling rope and with weight bag
And then you would have it for next time like Popg always says

Arborist Rope - Knot & Rope Supplyhttps://www.knotandrope.com › collections › arboris...

That is if you have the space for it and big enough tractor to pull it down

I have pushed several 60 ft trees over with the tractor including rootball. But will only do that for fresh trees. The old ash trees can break off and come down on you.

Busy day for everyone. Hung up trees are no fun. I usually wait them out and let the wind take care of them, like I did with the dead elm in my yard. Fortunately far away and not immediate danger.
Dad had huge ash tree that was dead and in danger of falling on electric lines and his car where he parked. One quote was over $3000 I think, he found someone else a lot less.

I go in for 3 hrs tomorrow.

My buddy did not say how many tractors, if any. He did say he leases 10 acres for beans and corn. We will get together sometime after New Years. He’s still working. He moved here from southern Louisiana, a true cajun with a French name. He gave me the jambalaya recipe I use.

My UPS batteries I’m replacing use 2 7ah batteries each. Ordered the first 2. They are not true sine wave.

I'm lucky?? My wife has ocd. Trouble is I'm always having to shift my stuff or myself while she mops/vacuums. But, house is always clean. She will clean and say "that will do", then find something else and off she goes again.

If you can't get a throw line over it, pick up a phone.
Don't know why it would be >$1000 though if they are just bringing it down to ground level ?
I have always taken down my own trees, some pretty big ones too, however I got the experts in to remove some massive gums and their prices were quite reasonable. About $500 for a huge gum and they shredded most of it too.
Nowadays I look at the hard work cleaning up and shudder at the thought.

earlier this year had 3 big pine trees leaning and not enough space to land and found a crew that climbed and cut branches off as climbing up and then cut it down from the top. 1200 dollars for the 3
