RS, congrats on wife's retirement, and glad she is home to fully supervise you..........;)

LOL ... it's a mixed blessing to be sure.

Sorry about the cut.

Nice picture of the roses ... (y)

Good morning
46 going to 65 and no rain in forecast
Leaves are all over the driveway and ground is wet. Will wait for it to dry out a bit before going on with cleanup of pine trees. Not much left to do.
The ignition coil for the MS291 showed up yesterday and it was the wrong one. So will have to dig into that today. Only saw running is the pole saw at the moment. The Makita saw is due to get here on Wednesday.
Waiting for the oil seal puller for the 026 saw to make more progress on that repair. I could likely pry them out with a screw driver if I had to.
Checked into the reports of failures of the Milwaukee 2767 impact cordless and found it was the B model that have failures and being replaced. Mine fortunately is the older A model.

Had to go check mine.

home sweet home
69 out now, pretty afternoon, down to 42 tonight
fairly easy drive home, about three hours taking my time.

Only one little bit of excitement in North DE in 60mph zone.
One guy came up behind me at about 100 mph, street racing with someone else, purple Dodge hemi sedan,
faked out my car sensors and car swerved and brakes hit, not sure I had any part of it.
I had looked in my rear view mirror and saw a guy coming up incredibly fast so I moved over a little.
I think if I hadn't, and maybe the safety systems on Volvo also turned away from an imminent crash, but he swerved past me between two cars
with inches to spare. Darwinism at work, sad he will likely hurt someone else while he's at it.

ok, going to leave the highways behind and going to take my own little byway
back to the garden to see how many new radishes I can find.

Delaware must have a real problem with speeders.
Big LED signs across road stating:

Route 1 is NOT the Autobahn. Danke.

or

Park in State rv camps, NOT in Left Lane

both pretty creative I thought.

Illinois sometimes has goofy slogans on the information boards, too, Drew.

And, I suspect every state has a real problem with speeders.

Left Lane Louises are a plague by impeding traffic and to some extent ecological minded efficiency. The more everyone else has to go off cruise control, where you are more efficient most of the time, the more fuel you burn. Even with adaptive cruise, time and fuel spent by those trying to get around someone driving in the wrong lane mounts up over hundreds of miles. I was watching the heavy traffic today and was thinking about the effect on literally dozens of people within my vision having to dodge someone driving the speed limit in the left lane.

So Left Lane Louises have a fuel tax they impose on the rest of us who must share the highway with folks who drive like they never
took driver training at all, have zero idea what keep right except to pass means, and then do 9 over in a school zone. And they want to build more roundabouts for these people?
Folks seem to have tunnel vision and don't merge well, maybe they never learned how to share as little kids. It's their road and they intend to hog all of it.
Hazards to the rest of us.
I'm hoping in Heaven turn signals are required, ROW is electronically enforced, tailgaters are shocked, barriers come down at red lights to prevent intersection accidents, boy would have fun making up a list. Besides, it's my Heaven right?....

wouldn't be all that hard for car to speak with you or ding ding if it senses you are in the far left lane with no one in the middle lane within the limits of the car radar. Which can be pretty far.
so they could software engineer control software that enforced not keeping right when possible.
Expect to find my version in Heaven with the variable shock feature, seat selectable
We'll all be driving electric cars soon, will be easy to shock the driver.

I believe that sign was meant for the flyboys at Dover AFB nearby PJ.
I've seen some fast moving uniforms on Rt1 over the years, guess they are late to get back.

fine haul of squash and veggies back from DE and also brought in the last big tomato. I have a few more but don't think they will make it.
Maybe make fried green tomatoes from them. About a dozen radishes, mild and juicy.
dinner last night was a stuffed porkchop with apple dressing, their own green beans we picked hours before, and their own squash. Simple and good.

Yippee!! I got the conveyor to start today. Disconnected the low oil sensor and choked it manually with my hand. It fired right up. Got half of the remaining wood in and will do the other half tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with my buddy that is going to take the Jeep off my hands. He wants it for a snow plow for his driveway. He gets the Jeep with a full tank of fuel, a hi lift jack, 5 BFG KO2s on rims and 10 Pro-Comp 30x9.5x15 tires, 5 of them mounted on rims. It also has a winch and a computer tuner. All for the price of whatever he wants to give.

Will take awhile to get used to LED headlights, they sure are bright.
Apple car play wasn’t working right I don’t think. It wouldn’t show map, keeps saying it needed location services turned on , and it is on.

Ate supper at a Dutch restaurant I saw last time I was up there.

56° now low around 45° tonight, skies just starting to clear now. Between yesterday and today we got 2.25” nice steady rain. The big winds the guessers were hollering about never materialized, I’m good with that!

Drew, that’s a good looking meal and produce, we just picked our last tomatoes the other day. Real poor garden year this year between drought and critters, oh well there is always next year lol.

Enjoy your weekend everyone

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 8C and it's presently 18.5C, sunny with a steady breeze. There was 1.5mm in the gauge from a brief, heavy, shower yesterday arvo.

Not much on for the day. This evening there's going to be a 'gathering' over on the neighbour's front paddock: it'll be the Pyengana Endurance Race people enjoying a campfire and consuming food that was prepared for the now cancelled race... I imagine that a few beverages will enjoyed. Most will stay the night.

I'll putter around the house until then.

Take care all.

45F and clear @ 21:30 and heading down to a low of 47F overnight ...

A little more progress today.

Got ball valve replaced over in the barn (after locating the large crescent and pipe wrench)

Got temporary electric to barn hooked back up (had to replace a section so it was little more involved than I was hoping for)

Only one of the two 8' light fixtures working though ... :(

Got about half of the stuff on pallets moved out again. That's enough to be able to juggle most of the stuff that remains inside around with the Kubota to be able to work ... without having to move it all the way out.

Woman worked on more clean up and organizing in the garage, also garden clean up around back. Plus assisted me.

Tomorrow I need to set up another table or two and have Her start cleaning and moving stuff off the original table.

Also move the chop saw, radial arm saw, table saw over and the little Craftsman compressor over.

Getting the electric hooked up is big ... because it will allow me to run the torpedo heater and it keep it not unbearable at least.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Four hundred bux is a pretty good deal for a helmet these days, Billy. And no matter what that Aussie's gear cost, it's still less expensive than a hospital stay.

I had good leathers and good helmet back in 2019 when an SUV hit me pretty much head on. Didn’t keep me out of the hospital, broke 10 ribs, collapsed both lungs, broke collar bone, scapula and a hip.
BUT…..I had no road rash whatsoever and no head or neck injuries, so I’ll take that as a success. Also my last ride on a street bike after over 50 years on them.

Good evening all. 47ºF for the start, light breeze, clear sky. Light wind morning moderate with brisk gusts in afternoon, and high temp was 86ºF. Bike ride start delayed for temp warmup. After lunch cranked up chain saw and got the woodprocessed in neighbor's yard, now just need to do mine. Did get nap in and put boat cover on. Need to get wood tarp on tomorrow after bike ride.
