Left Lane Louises are a plague by impeding traffic and to some extent ecological minded efficiency. The more everyone else has to go off cruise control, where you are more efficient most of the time, the more fuel you burn. Even with adaptive cruise, time and fuel spent by those trying to get around someone driving in the wrong lane mounts up over hundreds of miles. I was watching the heavy traffic today and was thinking about the effect on literally dozens of people within my vision having to dodge someone driving the speed limit in the left lane.
So Left Lane Louises have a fuel tax they impose on the rest of us who must share the highway with folks who drive like they never
took driver training at all, have zero idea what keep right except to pass means, and then do 9 over in a school zone. And they want to build more roundabouts for these people?
Folks seem to have tunnel vision and don't merge well, maybe they never learned how to share as little kids. It's their road and they intend to hog all of it.
Hazards to the rest of us.
I'm hoping in Heaven turn signals are required, ROW is electronically enforced, tailgaters are shocked, barriers come down at red lights to prevent intersection accidents, boy would have fun making up a list. Besides, it's my Heaven right?....
wouldn't be all that hard for car to speak with you or ding ding if it senses you are in the far left lane with no one in the middle lane within the limits of the car radar. Which can be pretty far.
so they could software engineer control software that enforced not keeping right when possible.
Expect to find my version in Heaven with the variable shock feature, seat selectable
We'll all be driving electric cars soon, will be easy to shock the driver.
Illinois sometimes has goofy slogans on the information boards, too, Drew.
And, I suspect every state has a real problem with speeders.
I believe that sign was meant for the flyboys at Dover AFB nearby PJ.
I've seen some fast moving uniforms on Rt1 over the years, guess they are late to get back.
fine haul of squash and veggies back from DE and also brought in the last big tomato. I have a few more but don't think they will make it.
Maybe make fried green tomatoes from them. About a dozen radishes, mild and juicy.
dinner last night was a stuffed porkchop with apple dressing, their own green beans we picked hours before, and their own squash. Simple and good.
