Helped the wife out today, fixed her clothes dryer there, I put in a new motor about 2 weeks ago, and didn稚 get the retaining clip for the motor on right. The motor was jumping around. Got that done. Then came home to work on our walk behind lawnmower, my wife put diesel in it last week. Drained the tank, cleaned the plug, still no start. So I put some gas on the air filter, it started, smoked, but ran clear in a couple of minutes. Just another day in the hood��

Btw, the only way I知 dancing is with a rather generous application of alcohol.

Yep, helped the wife here also, she requested a pair of harvest gold lamps which were popular in the 70s, along with avocado green. Carmel was the closest color and it was too beige. A trip to goodwill and paint sample and lamp shade from target and I’m on my way. .

Good evening all. 76F this morning, mostly cloudy, with occasional sunshine, brief showers started at 9AM. Most of the rain fell in the afternoon, .8 in the rain gauge, high temp 93F but fell off during showers. Played in the Thursday Old Man's "open", straight scramble, teams based on handicap, (mine is 30) my team was middle of the pack. after lunch and nap no time to start anything before dinner at Applebee's.

Audit's over...2 minor findings at our plant. Not so good at our sister companies, but I don't think there were any majors.
Think I'm going to knock off early...wife and stepdaughter want to grill this afternoon.

I looked at GIMP about a year ago. I need to be able to import the PDF templates from the disc duplication company, and GIMP won't seem to do that without rasterizing them.

PJ, maybe try downloading a program called Inkscape. It's free open source software, they only ask for a donation if you like it.

I just tested the pdf import by lifting a drawing from my Iseki manual (had to get a tractor into this somewhere )and proving that it came in as vectors by clicking on the steering wheel to delete it.

It all feels much fresher this morning. The weather ignored the improbable statistics of the professional forecasters and took my bait instead yesterday, dropping just over 1/2" of much appreciated rain. At first I thought we had overdone things when my wife also taunted it with a full line of washing. The ever darkening clouds possibly suspected it was a honey trap as they held their distance for quite a while after the clothes had dried, climbing every higher all around and giving me chance to strike off the mortar and rig up a tarpaulin before it finally couldn't resist soaking everything.

Can't see it getting fooled so easily again today unless I try a change of bait. Leaving the sunroof open on the old Subaru is perhaps too obvious, spraying weedkiller may just do it ...

Enjoying my first cup of coffee and marveling that I don't have twenty things to do today.
Might just take it a little easier...still a little sore from mowing for five hours yesterday.

Hope the JD dealer calls me back by noon, if not, I'm calling them. Want my garden tractor back, use it constantly for
things other than mowing. Thankfully I have the Gravely which I used yesterday to haul the water wagon around and gave new shrubs
a big drink.

Headed out to pick tomatoes. About thirty pounds sitting on kitchen counter tops, need to take them in to food pantry walk in cooler, my refrigerator is running out of room.
A bunch cracked or had problems, so one project for today is cutting up tomatoes and putting them away in freezer, using vacuum sealer. Cleaning ladies coming this afternoon so might as well make a big mess in the kitchen this morning...

Poured first cup of coffee. 64° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 90° with morning rain. Got all the parts made for 3PH trailer hitch. Need to deburr them. Then weld together. Nothing else planned. Do have PT in afternoon. Not getting any improvements in my arm yet. But haven't given up.

I helped my wife also yesterday. Picked her up from a bus trips she took to a Art Fair. I get to pay the charges she made. She wrote so many notes on her white board that I had to get her a new Expo pen. So glad that she gets out and is not afraid to use the board.

Randy sorry for your loss. ALS is very disabling.
