I must be doing something right. My garden is one of the greenest with tomatillos on the end and okra in the middle. Picked first tomatillo today, still waiting for okra’s first bloom.
Giant Marconi Peppers are behind okra.

I've been a fan of CDs since they first came out. No clicks, pops, and skips like vinyl records, no tape hiss, either. I don't understand the resurgance of vinyl. My CD collection is still growing, but my ears can't hear the difference between a CD and a copy ripped to a file server. Much easier to access on the file server via iPhone Remote app, and can play it anywhere in the house. And when I buy a CD, some of the money eventually finds its way back to the artist, something that rarely happens with digital media...

I know they all differ, but I believe I've read that Spotify pays $0.004 per stream to the artist. So, if you listen to the same song 1000 times, the artist gets $4.
Radio play pays $0.091 per play to the artist (songwriter, actually). So, 1000 plays on radio stations earns them $91.

As for discs, the artists will only see money from their sales after they've paid back any advance from the record company, provided they have physical sales as part of their contract. Independent artists make more per unit, but probably sell fewer units. Ordering 100 discs at a time costs around $4 each for indy artists. Larger quantities are less (about $1.70 each for 1000). Buy direct from the artist for $10 and they make $6 each. Buy through a third party distributor or reseller, and they take a cut as well.
So, 1000 CDs sold could net a small artist in the neighborhood of $8000.

In most cases, the artist will indeed earn considerably more from physical sales than streaming.

My son and his friends have Vinyl collections. They like to scour the local used record/cd shops.
Records have a warmer sound than most CDs, especially old CDs where they didn't understand noise and how many bits to sacrifice to not lose quieter sounds.
Many CDs were so quiet due to the missing sound and actual recording noise just not being there.

Went to water plants. Wow is it hot/humid.
Actually don't mind as much sitting at the desk doing day job.

Dennis, here's what it looks like. After you put yours in, I could use a little coaching. I don't fool around with high voltage.
This looks like an inductance sensor of some sort, just wrap it around the right incoming main wire?

Looks like 2 wires? I thought it had 1. Is green just ground wire? one wraps around 1 of the incoming feeders ahead of the main. Don’t mess with it if hot. I figure do it during an outage and still be careful.

More bad news on tractor, after new water pump and radiator it’s not holding pressure. Leak inside somewhere. Either gasket or cracked head. I told them to do it, I hope it’s just gasket.

87F and partly cloudy @ 13:15, HI 93F. Calling for an actual high of 90F for the day. Thunderstorms later, chance some of them will be severe.

Slow getting rolling this morning, was up in the shop working until after 1 AM last night so almost 12 hours yesterday. Feels like someone beat me with a stick.

Got front axle installed and bolts torqued, driveline all reconnected. Was a bit of a trick since I didn't have any help but ultimately was doable. Was surprised that lining up the splines wasn't any more difficult that it was.

Torque range for the front axle hanger bolts was 147.5 to 169.6 ft. lbs. Couldn't pull the full amount (lying on my back, on a rolling creeper) ... even with one foot bracing against the axle. Settled for 150.

Still have some bolts and clamps that need tightened up today which I'll do when I get up there and am still fresh.

Plus got the rusted areas on the underside of floorpans mostly trimmed out and hit with the needle scaler to knock off the rust. A "before" pic:

Bad design (or execution)

Located a piece of 10 or 12 gauge hot roll to patch them with. Probably still have a little more trimming to do to make sure I got all the nastiness.

Also got all the rubber removed from the pedals so I can install the new pedal covers. Had to use a wire wheel in a die grinder to get all of it.

Think I figured out what Kubota did in terms of adhesive: they spray painted the pedals and then just stuck the rubber covers on, which created quite the bond between the rubber and the paint.

Not sure what I'll use as an adhesive ... but I really liked the fact that the pedal covers never came off.

Bolts for the front frame and hanger for the MMM all wire brushed and cleaned up.

Bunch of clean up done in the shop, managed to remember to turn off the compressor and parts washer before I left. Discovered a small air leak on the compressor when I was doing that, up near the switch.

Also turned off the AC ... something I may regret when I get up there today (it was a cool 72F when I left)

The knob for the cruise control lever has been soaking in some dishwashing detergent overnight to see how much of the crud on it will come off:

Top of the knob will likely have to be hit with some sandpaper to remove the material that is discolored from UV damage.

Woman got a video this morning of who's been munching on the summer squash leaves - it was the groundhog ...

She made the run to Dunkin for an iced coffee for me after her get together since I had run out.

She also collected up three zucchini which were getting on the large side for a friend of the neighbor lady who make some zucchini bread with them.

Off to the shop for more B2910 fun and games.

Donation drop off successful, stopped at grocery to pick up things on the list for the trip this weekend.
Dug out the 'soft luggage' from the RV to get packed, started our list of "don't forget" items.

It got too warm to detail the vehicles. Moved to tomorrow's agenda. I'll get an early start while it's tolerable.

Spent about an hour on the phone with one of my sisters. Haven't talked to her in the last 6 months, got caught up on both sides.

While I was out, wifey made up a pot of homemade spaghetti and meatballs. House sure smelled good when I came in. I'm waiting patiently for dinner.

Started the last zone for the drip irrigation. Got about an hour left to go.

How easy to roll up just sitting on ground? I mounted mine on a post. Thinking of getting another cart one.

Do you know how that work on YouTube videos? Frankly I was shocked to find videos of every popular rock song I've ever looked up. Most were not published by the recording artist. I've had trouble publishing YouTube videos using background tracks from CDs, and don't understand how these bootleg copies are OK.

Good (Thursday) morning. A pleasant overnight Low of 5C, overcast (no rain) and fairly calm. Presently 8C and heading towards 13C.

After surveying the 'wattle branch over the fence' I decided that the sawzall could handle it instead of a chainsaw. Wow! I'm impressed with how it works. Of course, I blame all of you on TBN for my buying one of these in the first place... indeed, quite a few of my tools are a result of TBN suggestions. Lord knows what my next purchase will be, but the State's Ag Show (Agfest) is coming up next month and I never know what I'll come home with.

The 'Mad Horse Woman' has decided to remove her caravan out of the neighbour's paddock. Due to an existing electric fence, she'll need to come through our 'shared' gate and my paddock #2 gate. Perhaps in about a hour from now.

Two young ladies came to the Church's Shed yesterday @ 1300. Successfully 'offloaded' a couple of bedframes, a queen-size mattress and a flat screen TV (that I didn't know was in there). Home by 1350.

1st WFPB potluck. Of the 32 rsvp only 22 were there. Covid and fear of Covid had some cancellations. It’s making its rounds on the neighborhood. First two pics were serving table and last pic was my plate, an successful attempt to get a bit of each on one plate. Sure was good. Not pictured was the dessert table with carrot cake, cobbler, and chocolate mousse.
