God blessed me with another trip around the sun yesterday. Got a pair of farmer John overalls!
At work, been shopping online to create a bargain set of tools.
The artwork is better, too, Lou.
ZZ top Tres hombres, Santana Abraxas!
More bad news on tractor, after new water pump and radiator it’s not holding pressure. Leak inside somewhere. Either gasket or cracked head. I told them to do it, I hope it’s just gasket.
Oh no! Hope for the best.

Texas sharing some heat with others....

They are saying that the cops need more training, but I don't hear them say that kids need more training...

Prayers for our team.

Good evening all. 82ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind with moderate gust until t-storms came close, sky clouded up, and high temp was 106ºF, HI 114ºF. Storm came close, lighting hit close by, Light sound separation less than 1 second. In spite of what radar said only trace of rain. Men's meeting to start day, caught up on recorded news, was going to Costco today now tomorrow. 10 day has .13 rain in forecast, I seem to be having Ted's luck with rain right now. Did get nap in.
David no I have not used the plastic beads.
Buppies I doubt laziness is your problem :)
Ted Sorry about your heat. hope some rain shows up.

Drew hope you can get help with hose reel. good luck with finding a pool. Not a fan of shooting in crowdwd areas.
Drew you could consult with Paul ;)
Roy your webinars are ok.
Mike you have untrimmed fence in background Hope you finish the trimming, and get the holes for wiring done.
Drew did you mean floppy disk? nice truck had similar S10 5 speed, had 150K on odo, sold to someone who needed it worse than I did.
Mike thanks for story.
RNG Sorry to hear about your water well issues. Hope you can reduce the rust issues. Hope ride goes well this weekend
Billy glad sink is fixed with no collateral damage. Sorry about new leak. Hope heat does not last as long as it has here.
Ken trimming in 95ºF wears anyone out. nice pics. thanks for sharing.
Drew I don't thinks RS ask at all :)
Paul burger looks good, hope friend is giving you good pointers to improve the meat. Hope service call went well and good luck with Costco.

Ted hope you find the ammo you need. Hope you get the agenda order worked out.
Drew glad reel is ready to use. Good to hear garden is providing.

bending over is an issue. I almost bought the one on wheels but I'm really trying to hide it in the bushes.
this does not roll at all.

You can buy a cart version for $100 more. Ouch.

Randy, we will joyously help you spend your money.
I know, and I yours.

When I first joined TBN I started a thread on what I needed in my shed (mostly tool wise) as I basically had homeowner hand tools... the list was extensive and handy (one Member even made an Exel chart of all of the suggestions).

One of the 'tools' was a come-along. I'd never heard of one of these (some other tool suggestions required translation into Aus) So I bought one and it 'sat' in my shed for a few years before an occasion arose where it was the perfect solution to a problem, and I had it!

There are a number of tools in my shed that are like that, thanks to you lot. (y)

When I eventually 'cark it', there's going to be a very interesting auction.😄

66° right now...high in the upper 80's... rain and possible thunderstorms

Wife and stepdaughter back from their visit to another stepdaughter, so the gang's all here. Margeaux was, as expected, ecstatic

In to work today...

good morning all
another very hot day, 96 and thunderstorms mid day
sitting here grumpy, no food, no coffee, fasting for epidural later this morning.
Getting sedation this time, hopefully it will go easier.
pretty much shoots down the whole day but if results are good, well worth the time.

Don, I'd love to make a plate of all that and try it.

Dennis, I was looking for small. Normally yes the wheeled one is a better deal and wasn't a lot more expensive.

79 outside this AM, heading to upper 90's. Really humid...

Managed to finish up the front pastures fence lines, sprayed some roundup around the house and changed shirts twice.

Fingers still sore from weed whacking. LOL. Just one more fence line in the back to do.

Think I will take it easy today though...maybe tractor time since it has A/C. That would be the smart way to work.

Hope all have a great day and are on the healing side. Be safe.

76 going to 96. With a breeze outside, felt pretty good at sunrise as I raised the Flag.

Happy Birthday, Kyle! I bet you don't feel any older. Kids are a challenge to raise, but keep you young!...or at least that was what I was always telling myself.

Don, that's a real nice looking spread. I like the way the recipes/ingredients are displayed, too.

Roy, glad the ladies got home safe and sound.

Decided to get under the shade of one of our maples yesterday and crawl under the Zero and scrape the deck and then change out the mower blades. Even though it was in the mid 90s, didn't feel too bad. Lots of folks are talking about the heat, but ever since I was a kid, I remember spells of heat in the 90s and going over 100 at times. Nothing new...it is summer! Then mowed for 2 hours to "test" the blades. I think I did a better job sharpening them this time.

That's one of my prime tools for manual moving of big heavy things. What is the Aus translation?

Don, that's a real nice looking spread. I like the way the recipes/ingredients are displayed, too.
The ingredients are mandatory because a lot of people are just getting started and don't know what is hidden in the ingredients they put in their favorite pot luck food. The WFPB is more than vegetarian or vegan and while most people in the group "get it" there might be some new ones that don't. Only one dish had to be avoided last night, it had Mayonnaise which we all know that mayonnaise contains both oil and eggs. Education at the meetings will be on-going and friendly.

Fun fact, In 1957 A group called the "Naturalist" had a name they called prepared animal meat: spicedembalmed. I looked up the definition and actually that is correct before embalming fluids were used.

define EMBALMED 1. preserve (a corpse) from decay, originally with spices and now usually by arterial injection of a preservative:

This sounds like BBQ
. . . removing the viscera and filling the cavity with salt and vegetable powders. The Jívaro tribes of Ecuador and Peru took the additional precaution of ensuring the immortality of their chiefs by roasting their embalmed bodies over very low fires.

On a more pleasant thought . . .
Good Morning, a slow roasting triple digit temperature again today, we should all be well done by the end of August.

Morning all, 87 going up to 96 and sunny.
Did some weed whacking yesterday - after an hour had to come in.

Did find a massive hornets nest. Sprayed it last night, but this morning seems the spray had no affect  will need to put some poison right on the nest tonight and hope they don't try to get me.

BEF - hope the issue is a simple gasket.

Kyle - Happy birthday! 🎂

Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High around 105F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Raid Wasp & Hornet spray has always worked for me, Ken. Good reach on the stream, too.

Ready to hit the road again. Headed out on the touring bike to see how it is in the heat. Riding into a hair dryer on an unfaired bike is no picnic, but roasting behind a fairing might not be too much fun, either. We'll see.

Have a great weekend!

67°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 99° today. Forecast is for 104° on Saturday. Some rain forecast for Monday, which might drop us below 90° and break the heatwave ... for one day, then back into the 90s all next week. The only bright side here is that humidity has been relatively low, at 55% right now.

Got to spend some time in my nice, cool underground studio yesterday evening. I didn't hate that.

RNG, all that stuff is completely different once you attach music to video. For that, you're required to buy a separate music sync license. Without one, the record companies, or whoever owns the rights to the recorded music (usually the record companies), will demand that the platform (YouTube, or any other) take the video down. The big companies have staff who do nothing but browse the internet all day looking for copyright violations. As an alternative, YouTube Studio offers a variety of free use music to add to your videos. It's generally generic and bland, but it comes without all the trouble of using someone else's music without getting a sync license. I've seen Leland Sklar complain on his YT channel about having bass play along videos removed because of copyright violations, on songs where he did the original recordings. Of course, the record company owns the recording rights, so he has no recourse.
As for pay, no one actually knows how YouTube's intentionally convoluted monetization system works.
Video is a weird game.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Kyle. Glad you completed yet another trip.

Good morning, gents.
