Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 62°, going up to a high of only 89° today. Slight chance of a T-storm.... again. Still haven't had those chances happen here.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! to Kyle.

RNG, have a safe and comfortable trip! Hope the fairing doesn't just put you on slow cook.....

Agenda for today is to get the vehicles detailed inside. Just going to take my time and hopefully not overheat. Probably take plenty of breaks in the A/C.
Need to finish packing everything too, not much left, but don't want to forget anything.

Everyone have a great day!

81F and partly cloudy @ 11:00, HI 85F, heading up to around 88F for the high.

Woman just came in with an armful of summer squash including one larger zucchini, swears She picked a zucchini off that same plant yesterday and there weren't any others on it.

Was 82F/24% RH when I went up to turn the AC on in the shop yesterday so I fired up both AC units. That dropped it down to 78F/16% RH in fairly short order.

Limited work done up there yesterday, due to the late hour I started + the fact there was a good line up on PBS last night that I wanted to catch.

Got the front hanger for the MMM installed and the 6 bolts holding it on properly torqued, also the 6 bolts for the front frame.

Then went to reconnect the drag link which ended up being a pain as the threads on it were slightly buggered with no way to grip the stud the nut screwed onto. Ended using the 1/2" impact which got it spun on far enough that the stud started to grip in the hole and I was able to tighten it up to spec by hand.

Found out something interesting on that: Kubota actually offers the rubber boots (and the clips to hold them on) for the drag link and center link (which they call a "tie rod") as separate items. I may order those today - the grease that's currently in there is almost liquid and they probably should be repacked and of course after all these years the rubber is not in great shape either.

Cleaned up most of the remaining pieces/parts in the parts washer.

Installed the brackets for the return springs for the clutch pedal and the brake pedals.

Have one bracket that seems to be MIA, so I'll search in earnest for that today.

Plan at this point is get everything hooked up to the point that it can be driven (without the operator deck/floor installed) and bring it down to the house and give it a good bath while the floor is off and everything underneath is easier to access.

While it is out of the shop it will give me a chance to clean up the work area a bit and get ready for Round 2 which will be to finish welding up the operator deck/floor.

Once that's done, I'll bring it back up and tear down the front axle pivot knuckles so the seals can be replaced in those. The left one is leaking badly enough that it's pretty much pointless to try to put it back into service at this time. Might as well do the right one as well while its clean. Pretty sure I already have all the parts just need to locate them.

That's the plan at any rate.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday ... (y)

68°F and 1.04 inches rain.

Initial interview for the water quality study far less painful than my time with Sears. Initial site visit tentatively scheduled for next week.
Part of that will entail changing out my 4.5x20 water filters. Housing look like Drew’s. The study uses the carbon filter for analysis.

Got 1000 SS/EPDM washers threaded onto the 1/4x6 lag bolts for my roof

Haircut scheduled for this morning. Trip to PO as we.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

AC turned on in shop, wasn't too terribly bad in there yet.

Parts for steering knuckles job collected and verified.

Boots and retaining clips for tie-rods and drag link ordered from the local dealer, should be in mid next week.

Newbury, these are just for you. I had to get permission first. Yes, they are copyrighted and protected. But enjoy. My BIL is quite a talent and he got the idea here doing my avatar
of my reaching up into an apple tree. But he has done other books, something about dolphins. Just for his grandchildren, his four favorite readers who grandpop still gets to read to.

just polished off second half of sandwich from lunch, Cubano sandwich made with fairly thick slices of seasoned pork, lots of pickles and they bake their own bread.
Am pleasantly stuffed after half a sandwich.

now didn't someone mention ice cream? If I get sharp things stuck in me, reward myself with ice cream. Sound like a plan

. I've seen Leland Sklar complain on his YT channel about having bass play along videos removed because of copyright violations, on songs where he did the original recordings..

Lee is my hero and favorite bassist. And a very interesting guy overall. His videos are excellent tools if you have to cover a song that he played on.
I just had to play Jackson Browne’s Dr My Eyes and watched him play it. There was some discussion about what key the song was in, and I said without a doubt, I was playing it in the same key as Lee.
But he is pretty outspoken on videos being taken down.

that sure earned you a cold one. Few more to go?...

David your dog pics are great, sure are a nice part of the family. Very relaxed dogs, maybe it's the Hawaiian air?

neck feels pretty good, no surprise with a gallon of local pumped in there, sandwich was simply awesome
and the mint chocolate chip ice cream went down with a lovely chill.
Life is good
