44 and rain tapering off, 3/4” so far. Up and down March weather for the next couple of weeks.
We had our monthly friends breakfast yesterday, always a good time. Quite a varied group we are, all retired and between 69-80 years old, have similar interests in hobbies and such, but very different careers. My best friend owned a large used car business for over forty years until Carmax bought him out, one was a lab tech, one owned a butcher shop, one was auto tech and I was in the interior design/ window treatment business for 37 years. We all had secondary businesses as well.
It seems weird that we all now have time to sit and BS without watching the clock.
I have what’s called the All Clubs Breakfast coming up Saturday, representatives from all the regional car clubs meet at a firehouse for a buffet breakfast and exchange info and ideas. First one since 2019 due to alligator infestation.

Buppies, I hope you’re sleeping better, I’ve been dealing with poor sleep for 3-4 years. I sleep pretty well for 2-4 hours, then toss and turn until I get up.

Said a prayer for all the illness and broken bones. And for peace.

68°F and 1.81 inches of much needed rain. Mostly delivered in a raucous thunder and lightning storm. Most of the state is in varying degrees of drought even though this is our rainy season.

Good day in the caretaker unit yesterday, I think. Guess will know better when I remove masking tape in bedroom area before moving to bathroom.

This is in Rockbridge, but looking in several counties. Saw decent prices in Louisa, lol but prefer to stay further west.

Roy - we had a special person who handled our plane balancing after I did the plane weight on the big expensive scales. Had to be quick as always a line to the scale hanger.

35 degrees in sleet and freezing rain, .45 rain so far

unsuccessful trip to Costco, full audiology exam and they said they can't help me, unlikely hearing aids would help which apparently
is not unusual with Meniere's. They suggested a in ear noise reducing earbud for my one bad ear. Happened to have one I never got to work.
Going to try again.

When the wife had kidney stones, the doctor gave her a prescription pain med and told her to go home and chug a six pack of beer. Of course this was back when she was going to nursing school and a single mom.

While on R&R in Australia I had a kidney stone. Urologist removed surgical via existing orifice.
Some months later I was evacced to Army hospital in Japan (Camp Zama) for unrelated event. Befriended a fellow soldier being treated for kidney stone. Treatment was regimen of beer. He hated beer and would just pass it on whenever he could. I was appreciative.

My Australian urologist told me that without a doubt I would get another, likely in 20 years. That was 1968. I’ve been an avid advocate of drinking beer for its medicinal value and to this date have not had a reoccurrence. I do have to make a brewery resupply run this week.
