Good morning!!!!

66°F and .5 inches rain. Sunny right now.

Really enjoying all your love stories. Quite an interesting bunch of folks.

Found an interesting app for the Ham test : Ham Tech. I’ve done a couple of the practice tests with passing scores, very encouraging. A good study aid.

Prayers for all. I know Sophie says she feels better - Thank you. She also got 90 day supply of ibuprofen in mail. That’s 270 tablets of 800mg. Gonna last way longer than 3 months as she’d almost never take more than 2/day.

Be safe
Have a great day

Ed, my thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. Your mom is at peace now. Take care.

We had some visitors this PM. There were +20. I only saw one male. I apologize for the quality of image. Our first generation high tech triple pane windows are showing their UV wear. :(

Your shared stories of how you all met your wives-to-be made me smile. Wifey met me for the first time during the weekly "Poker Night with the Boys." I am not known for making good first impressions and I was "true to form" and in "rare form" that night:eek::embarrassed:. I "knew" wifey did not . It took a while and a couple of trilobite fossils . That was 43 years ago. We've been married 13 years I am told.

LS- I hope that you and your MCL are on better terms. Do you have a surgery date?

Thomas- I hope that your foot/ankle are doing better.

Don- I am very interested in your plant based diet. Like Randy I have a lot of problems, but high cholesterol is not one of them thanks to genes and not diet. You make me think about what changes I really should make.

Randy- You and Ellen amaze me; I am so happy for both of you. Like Kyle posted, reliving adolescence/young adulthood again. I do not know which is more anxiety producing meeting the parents or meeting the kids for the both of you? It reads really well and I hope things continue. You both deserve it.

Andrew- I was not a happy camper when my original seatbelt failed. It was quickly replaced and not as cheaply as your installation. Nice clay. I agree with Ron about the bucket welds. Thanks for sharing.

Buppies- You've been "nailing" the forecasts  Possible freezing rain for me tonight. I see a lot of rain in my future. I do not think that I'll lose the snowpack around here anytime soon thanks to the northern slope and somewhat limited direct sunshine.

All your pictures of plantings, flats, etc. is proof that Spring has come. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

   / Good morning!!!! #73,496
just came in after my helpers wore me out, but we got a lot done.
Sorry to read Ed's Mom passed, but am glad for both of them, endings never are easy and am sure
Ed's Mom knew her son was there. She left this world in peace with family love about.
Hang in there Ed, lots of prayers for your family.

52 degrees with some light showers passing by.

Good morning to all! The weather front is moving through this morning, only one brief shower for about a minute so far. Temp only up to about 45-50. Winds are now at 25-30 constant, gust 40-45. Clouds are booking past. Was hoping for more rain...we'll see.

Jay, the knee reminds me that it is not happy on a daily basis. Went out to the store the other day and only made it halfway through the store, had to leave, couldn't stand it. Anyway, surgery scheduled for 4/4.

Randy, my son has a '74 J20 that he has been using as a DD for about the last 4 years. We are both fans of the full size jeep trucks. He bought it as a 1 owner about 10 years ago. He has modified his (doing all the work himself), putting in a military diesel, Dana 60 axles f&r, and custom instruments. I'll have him send me some recent pics so I can post them.

Drew, the pics of the garden are great.. Looks like you're going to get a lot of vegetables for the food bank.

Cool to hear how everyone has met their better halves.

Ed, again, my thoughts and prayers....

Ted, then these are for you. Not for posting elsewhere please. One of my oldest and closest friends had two of those trucks, mainly to get up to a mountain cabin one mile off the paved road on the side of a mountain above Margaretville, NY. Catskills Mountains, we often had to walk that one mile driveway in the winter when nothing could conquer the snow. That was when I had a snowmobile, we decided we were not walking again. And we didn't...Went there every year for 40 years, now the next generation is doing it.

well, now I see more clearly these are J10 Jeeps, not J20, the prior gen. I bet they are all getting more valuable...and wait until the new one comes out.
same road btw, winter and summer
we would sled down that mile long private road in the winter and almost could go nonstop all the way down. Then I'd pull every one back
up the hill with the snowmobile and a long rope. That really was fun, came in half frozen and sat by blazing hot woodstove or less hot
fireplace. Lots of smiles and sniffling noses...
One more time Daddy please?

Ed, sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Her suffering is over and, hopefully, that will give you and your Family peace.

Thanks guys, doing a lot better than I ever thought I would. Wife was able to face time her for about the last 10 min. Again very peaceful.

jbrum, I see at least 2 toms in your pic, the ones with beards are almost always toms and the hens with bears mostly have stunted funny looking beards.

Have a great day Ed
