What kind of car do you have?
Did the block heater come with it, or is it aftermarket?

2013 Dodge Journey Crew (Canadian package) came with block heater. I won't have a vehicle that doesn't have a block heater. I have the heater plugged into a remote so I can turn it on or off from the nice warm kitchen.
Remote start is a huge bonus.

The Kioti has a block heater as well and set up the same as the Dodge, just no remote start. I only let the Kioti run at 1400 rpm for about 5 minutes before I start working it. It takes another 5 minutes of warming the hydraulics by raising and lowering the loader while flexing the dump/curl cylinders.

The remotes for the block heaters will handle 1,500 watts, so they do okay with 1,000 watt block heaters. I NEVER run both block heaters at the same time (would blow the breaker as they are both on the same circuit).

I'll give that a try!!

If you are really adventuresome, try Kahlua and a beer chaser. I can get 4 shots of Kahlua into me over the course of 1 beer. A shot of kahlua and a mouthful of beer.

Roy how is Margeaux doing . I guess she's just fit in fine.

For the most part, Margeaux is doing great...still have trouble with her peeing or crapping in the house (pretty much ruined the hall carpet)
A very loving dog, but not much of a licker. The housebreaking problem is more our problem then hers. I can't get it through to my wife that dogs need a one or two word command, not a sentence.
Margeaux is a bit of a hardhead sometimes...guess that runs in our family. Also, barks at everything so, pretty protective
